With 1 in 3 households across Hawai'i experiencing food insecurity, we're deeply grateful for the generosity of our City, State and UH 'ohana.

This year, our City, State and University of Hawai'i Coalition came together once again for its annual food and fund drive.

Together, the coalition raised enough food and funds to help provide more than 517,000 meals - surpassing its goal of 510,000 meals.

With 1 in 3 households across Hawai'i experiencing food insecurity, we're deeply grateful for the generosity of our City, State and UH 'ohana. Mahalo nui to everyone who helped nourish our neighbors and strengthen our communities.

After the overthrow of the monarchy, many of the contents of ʻIolani Palace were either returned to members of the royal family or were sold at public auction. Since that time, original Palace furnishings and objects have been scattered across the globe.

Part of the mission of ʻIolani Palace is to locate, recover, and preserve these original Palace and monarchy pieces. Over the years, hundreds of artifacts have been returned from 36 states and 4 countries, helping restore the history of the Palace one object at a time.

We are always looking for original Palace pieces and furnishings. If you think you may have an original item, or know information about one, please let us know.

"Neneʻe Mai ʻOe" is a recent composition by Nicholas Kealiʻi Lum, our hula brother from Hālau Na Kamalei O Līlīlehua. The poetry is rooted in tradition, utilizing the framework of a classic song by Mary Kawena Pukui that highlights the senses of sight, scent, and sound - to describe the feeling of love.
