Tony Vericella will represent Alzheimer’s Caregiving & The Caregivers at Fran Drescher ’s Master Class Health Summit on October 17 in Los Angeles, focused on dementia and Alzheimer’s.

Jay Leno is also participating. He and Tony share a meaningful connection: both are devoted Caregivers to their wives, and both couples have been married the same number of years.

Tony’s commitment to caregivers goes far beyond sharing resources. It also means continuing to learn, listen, and stay connected to the research and conversations shaping the future of Caregiving.

From September 23–25, Tony attended the 4th Biennial Conference on Caregiving Research in Salt Lake City, joining professionals, researchers, and advocates focused on the realities facing Caregivers today.

As a full-time Caregiver to his wife, Dana, Tony brings a deeply personal perspective to this work. Every opportunity to learn more is also an opportunity to bring better information, stronger support, and greater understanding back to the families Alzheimer's Caregiving & The Caregivers serves.

His mission remains simple and unwavering: to support Caregivers everywhere and help ensure no family has to face caregiving alone. 💙

Today we celebrate Tony. ❤️ On his birthday, we want to recognize not only the man, but the heart behind Alzheimer’s Caregiving & The Caregivers.

Tony took his own Caregiving experience and turned it into something larger than himself: a nonprofit created to help families feel more prepared, more supported, and less alone as they care for someone living with Alzheimer’s or dementia.

That kind of work takes time, patience, compassion, persistence, and a deep willingness to keep showing up for others. Through the resources, videos, Caregiver tools, and support he has helped build, Tony continues to give families something incredibly valuable: guidance from someone who understands the caregiving journey personally.

So today, we simply want to say:
Happy Birthday, Tony.
Thank you for the care, generosity, and purpose you continue to bring to caregivers everywhere. We hope today brings some of that same kindness back to you.

At Alzheimer’s Caregiving & The Caregivers, staying informed is part of how we serve.

This week, we are attending the 4th Biennial Conference on Caregiving Research, where leading researchers, clinicians, and Caregiving experts are exploring some of the most important issues affecting Caregivers today.

The conference is covering topics including the role of Caregiving within the long-term care system, the economic value and impact of Caregiving, national challenges and opportunities for supporting Caregivers, lessons from the CMS GUIDE Model, Caregiving and health, the lived experience of Caregivers, and the future of Caregiving research and funding.

For us, this is more than attending a conference. It is part of an ongoing commitment to listen, learn, and stay connected to the newest research, ideas, and conversations shaping Caregiving.

We want the information we share with families to be thoughtful, relevant, and grounded in what Caregivers are experiencing now. Continuing to learn from experts in the field helps us keep building resources that are practical, compassionate, and useful for the people who need them most.

No family should have to face Caregiving alone.

Tony is attending the 4th Biennial Conference on Caregiving Research in Salt Lake City, hosted by the University of Utah College of Nursing. The conference brings together researchers, healthcare professionals, advocates, and caregivers to explore how caregiving can be better supported through research, healthcare delivery, policy, and lived experience.

We are proud to be there, listening, learning, and continuing our commitment to supporting the caregiving community with practical resources, education, and connection.

It is World Alzheimer’s Day. It is also the third anniversary of the day our nonprofit officially opened its doors, with one purpose at its heart: to help families feel more prepared, supported, and less alone as they care for someone living with Alzheimer’s or dementia.

And for Tony and Dana, September 21 is also deeply personal. Today marks their 46th wedding anniversary. Their life together, and Tony’s experience caring for Dana, became part of the reason this organization exists. What began as one family’s Caregiving journey grew into a mission to share practical resources, encouragement, education, and hope with other families walking a similar road.

Three years later, that mission continues.

To every Caregiver who has visited our website, watched a video, downloaded a resource, shared a story, asked a question, or simply needed to know someone understood: thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey.
And to Tony and Dana, happy 46th anniversary. ❤️

On World Alzheimer’s Day, we are reminded why this work matters so much.

Sometimes comfort arrives in the smallest, softest ways.
