March 26, 2026 is both Prince Kūhiō Day and Equal Pay Day in Hawaiʻi. It honors cultural legacy while highlighting pay equity.

• Women earn about 87 cents for every dollar men earn
• The gap is worse for women of color
• Hawaiʻi’s high cost of living increases the impact

BPW Hawaiʻi calls for action:
• Increase pay transparency
• Enforce equal pay laws
• Support women in underrepresented fields

Goal:
• Fair pay for all across Hawaiʻi

March 12 is Equal Pay Day 2024, we stand together to highlight the ongoing journey towards wage equality. This day is not just a date on the calendar but a reminder of the resilience and strength of women who strive for fairness in every paycheck. Despite progress, the gap remains. It's a call to action for everyone, everywhere, to champion equal pay for equal work. Let's continue to push boundaries, challenge unjust norms, and ensure a fair and equitable workplace for all. Together, we can turn aspirations into reality and make every day a step closer to wage equality.
