Start your day with a wonderful brunch with the CCH Board members and staff on the grounds of the Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum. Help us to celebrate with 808 Cleanups as our 2026 Koa Award of Excellence recipient, honoring our outgoing board members, listening to our exciting guest speaker from The Papahānaumokuākea Marine Debris Project, enjoy delicious food and good music, and much more. We will also have our popular auction with wonderful and unique items, and our Country Store with CCH branded items. We are also looking forward to the unveiling of the artwork for the 2027 CCH Environmental Education Poster. The original artwork will be available to acquire through our auction after the reveal.

CCH is excited to announce a one day showing of the movie
"A Paradise Lost" that will be playing at the Ward Theaters on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 1 pm with a “Talk story session” to follow. This showing will honor Marjorie Ziegler, former Executive Director of CCH, and a cast member in the film. A portion of the ticket sales will benefit Conservation Council for Hawai‘i. Hope to see you there!

Positive news alert!

Congressman Jared Huffman (D-CA), Congressman Ed Case (D-HI), and Congresswoman Jill Tokuda (D-HI) sent a letter to President Trump formally opposing an executive proclamation which seeks to reopen Papahānaumokuākea National Marine Sanctuary and Marine National Monument, Rose Atoll Marine National Sanctuary and Marine National Monument and the Mariana Trench Marine National Monument to commercial fishing.

Please keep your cats indoors! This is especially important for Hawaiʻi where our native species lack behaviors for avoiding predators, and have little resistance to disease.

CCH is concerned with the downlisting of the ae'o. Although the population has been stable for 20 years, having less than 2,000 individuals in the wild, the threats to the species still persists. Development and encroachment to their habitats, climate change, avian malaria, invasive species and other issues still affect the ae'o. Our beautiful and magnificent waterbirds need the protection. We need to turn around from being the Endangered and Extinction Capital of the World by protecting and investing in our native wildlife.
