October is “Join Scouting Month” in Hawaiʻi!
"Scouting means 'doing' and everything in Scouting is designed to have youth doing things through fun activities that achieve the goals of Scouting—citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness."
This October is “Join Scouting Month” and to celebrate, the Aloha Council, Boy Scouts of America (BSA) cordially invites families throughout Hawai‘i and Guam to learn about its program offerings for boys and girls from kindergarten to age 18 through upcoming recruitment events.
Primarily, the Aloha Council BSA will be hosting virtual informational meetings every Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. (HST) for the month of October. Parents can join and hear about the different scouting programs and activities. To register for any one of the upcoming informational sessions via Zoom visit: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/scouting-hawaii-virtual-open-house-tickets-423273421197?utm-campaign=social&utm-content=attendeeshare&utm-medium=discovery&utm-term=listing&utm-source=cp&aff=escb
In addition, the Council is planning keiki events for families in every scouting district in Hawaiʻi. On Oʻahu, families are invited to Nuʻuanu Valley Park on Saturday, October 29 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon for fun, outdoor Cub Scouts-centric activities for kids, and informational booths for parents.
Youth who register for the scheduled keiki events by November 15 will receive a complimentary rain gutter regatta kit.
