Last year, during National Diabetes Awareness Month, we had such a great time sharing stories of those living with T1D in our communities. As we head in to 2026, we are excited to highlight the individuals and families that help others .
"My name is Chelsee. I am a new mother, I love soccer, spending time with family, going to Disneyland, and visiting Hawaiʻi!
I was diagnosed with T1D at age 18, I am now 24, having graduated college, played collegiate soccer, and started a family of my own. Managing T1D never stops, it is something that you constantly have to think about, make decisions for, and preparing everything just to stay alive. I always share with people that we are warriors, and we can always accomplish whatever we want to achieve in life, even with T1D."
