Welina me ke aloha!
Ka Pā Hula Hawai’i extends our deepest gratitude to our community who has supported our continued learning around traditional hula and its various aspects, Hawaiian history, nohona Hawai’i (way of life), and wahi pana (storied places). As we transition into 2026 and look forward to new growth and shared aloha, it is with great honor to announce:
Under the direction of Loea Hula John R. Kaha’i Topolinski a me Nā Kumu Hula, Ka Pā Hula Hawai’i has accepted the invitation to showcase our style of hula kāne influenced by our beloved and illustrious teachers at the esteemed 63rd Annual Merrie Monarch Hula Festival in April 2026.
In preparation for this significant return, Ka Pā Hula Hawai’i humbly invites you to gather with us for a hālau fundraiser featuring traditional hula, complimentary mea ‘ai & mea inu, and Welo o Ka Ua: An Evolution of the ‘Ahu’ula – an exclusive fashion show gala by Kūkau’ula showcasing ali’i inspired designs, where chiefly motifs meet modern fashion by Kumu Zachary Ikaika Bantolina, Ph.D.
Date: January 24, 2026
Time: 5:45 PM – 8:00 PM
Location: PA’I Arts & Cultural Center
RSVP: Limited VIP & GA tickets available at the link in our bio
Proceeds will benefit Ka Pā Hula Hawai’i 501(c)(3) to support hālau travel, lodging, traditional dress and adornments, musicians, and other preparations. Remaining proceeds will be used for hālau venue costs, so we can continue to offer free hula instruction throughout 2026.
Mahalo for your continued support! We look forward to sharing our aloha with you – he alo a he alo.
