Join us on September 1st, 2026 to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the 1946 Hawai’i Sugar Strike, where 26,000 recently-organized ILWU plantation workers sustained a 79-day shutdown of 33/34 of Hawai’i’s sugar plantations. How did they do it and what was the outcome? It is as important now as it was then to understand the lessons and strategies of these union workers. We hope to see you there.
