The Honokaa Business Association is a volunteer organization of business owners and individuals dedicated to boosting the vitality and productivity of Honokaa and Hamakua as a whole. Our cooperative aims to

improve the economic prosperity of the region by focusing on appreciation of the cultural and natural resources of the area and providing a local support network to empower the community’s well being. Today HBA is a strong community support network providing scholarships, social festivities and positive business fellowship. Our members sponsor and participate in workshops, town clean-ups, festivals and cultural celebrations. The Honokaa Business Association is enthusiastically committed to developing new and necessary projects, and fostering effective communication. HBA holds quarterly meetings and its Board of Directors meets the first Tuesday of each month.

Hāmākua Harvest's 11th Annual Harvest/Farm Fest is coming on Saturday, 9.20.2026, from 9 AM – 4 PM, and we're looking for local vendors to be part of it!

Whether you sell fresh produce, handmade crafts, local goods, or delicious food, we'd love to have you set up alongside us for a day filled with live music, hula, education, and community spirit.

The Hāmākua Youth Center is dedicated to the keiki and ʻōpio of the Hāmākua Coast. We began serving youth in 1996 when a grassroots group of community members saw the need for keiki to have a safe space during non-school hours. 30 years later, we are filled with gratitude that we still have the opportunity to provide safe spaces for the youth of Hāmākua.
