Have you ever wondered how you can help support your local volunteer firefighters? Sometimes it’s the simple things that make the biggest difference.

As we head into the warmer summer months, staying prepared to serve our community means ensuring our firefighters remain properly hydrated while operating on emergency scenes. You can help by donating bottled water, sports drinks, and other hydrating beverages that can be carried on our apparatus and used during incidents and training events.

Donations may be dropped off at the fire station and placed by the flagpole, or you can email [email protected] to arrange for someone to meet you at the station.

Your support directly helps keep our members ready to answer the call when our community needs us most.

From the Officers and Members of the Honey Brook Fire Company, thank you for your continued generosity and support.

We celebrated National Poppy Day by participating in the National Poppy Day Virtual 5k - Post 422. Pam & Tricia participated the month of May and received their metals and certificates of completion! It was a great inaugural event and we look forward to growing our participation next year.

We are wearing our shirts and poppies proud here in Honey Brook, PA 🌺🇺🇸

The pictures upon this wall are men and women (who soon will be placed upon it). These are sacred spaces to pay tribute to fallen heroes, veterans, and active-duty service members.

What is your why you belong?

Myself it’s to honor those who have lost their lives or just those who lost themselves. Many who have seen war, end up in their own. I belong to let veterans know they are not alone. I belong to have a voice for those who don’t, I belong because of these men and women gave me the freedom to stand up and help those who need it. I belong simply because I believe in what others may not. The right to know and think as I choose.

When Vietnam took our young men and women to foreign lands, people spoke up. Protest became a norm and the drafted became soldiers.

Some never returned and those who did were no longer the ones who left. This is my why. For the belief in those who fought for all we have, to be in the land of the free and damn right the home of the brave. Thank you for all who served and we honor not just on a wall but in our hearts.

This , we remember the service members who gave everything — not just for our country, but for the people beside them, the families they loved, and the future they believed in.

We wear a simple flower, but each poppy tells a story of courage, of service, and of a promise we must never forget.

So today, wear it with intention, remember their stories, and help us ensure they are never forgotten.
