May 5th latest update. Liver functions have returned to normal but a minor set back last week. Sam required paracentesis. The procedure was done locally as an outpatient. They removed 9 liters of fluid. Still in pain but feeling much better.

Still no sign of rejection
Kidney function is slowly returning.
Lot of pain today doctor feels it's from the AKI (acute kidney injury)

Update Liver transplant was a success. Sam is currently in Geisinger Medical Center in Danville and may be there for several weeks. These are the expenses we never considered. $35 in gas each trip. Hotel even with hospital discount is still over $100. Not in our budget. So tonight we will be sleeping in the waiting room any the hospital or In car. Would appreciate any help anyone can give !

Today started like any other. I dropped Mackenzi at school and headed to Walmart to meet her mother to pick up her cheer bag. While waiting for her mother to come out I received a call from Sam's Transplant!!Nurse. "We may have a liver" she says. I had to ask her to repeat what she had said! Needless to say we are now at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. He is in the OR at this time. Prayers please
