Help us wish a very 𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗬 𝗕𝗜𝗥𝗧𝗛𝗗𝗔𝗬 to our Operations Assistant, Alex, who is celebrating the big 3-0 today! 🥳

Alex has been part of our Cooperage Project family for a long time, and we feel so lucky to have him on our team. He helps keep our spaces s***k and span, but more importantly, he brings so much kindness and sweetness to the people around him. ❤️

Alex has been looking forward to this milestone birthday, and we hope 30 brings him plenty of happiness, laughter, and all the spooky fun his heart desires! With Halloween just around the corner, it’s the perfect time of year for one of his favorite things. 🎃👻

𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗯𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝘅! We’re so grateful you’re part of our team, and we hope your 30th year is your best one yet! 🎂🎈

What a night! On October 3, Callicoon Station filled The Cooperage Project with their mix of Americana, blues, roots rock, ska, and jazz, and the room was packed with longtime fans who already knew every groove.

Elizabeth Rose and Brewster Smith led the way with sharp, story-rich originals, backed by Don “Low Horn” Castellow on low reeds, Jim Lownes on bass, and Jeff Potter on drums.

Fᴜɴ ꜰᴀᴄᴛ: Jeff is playing drums in the RENT 30th Anniversary Watch Party and you can watch him from right here at our 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 viewing party on Monday, October 26 at 8pm (a fundraiser for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS)!

Tℎa𝑛k y𝑜u, Callicoon Station, for bringing so much talent and fun to our stage!

The latest 𝗟𝘂𝗸𝗲’𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗮 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 + 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 was a hilarious night of unusual challenges, unexpected answers, and plenty of shouting (𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘯𝘰𝘰𝘥𝘭𝘦𝘴!). Seven teams competed for glory, tackling everything from trivia questions to identifying a classic techno song and the famous speech playing over it. Yes, someone had to identify Howard Dean’s campaign scream layered over “Sandstorm” by Darude. 😂

Come join us next time for more laughs, challenges, and whatever weirdness Luke has up his sleeve. Bring a dish and your favorite beverage, and come ready to play!

Introducing 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁!

We’re kicking off a new series that introduces you to the people behind the programs, events, and everyday happenings at TCP. Each feature will spotlight a member of our team and give you a little glimpse into who they are beyond their role.

First up is 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗹 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗻𝘀, our Operations Coordinator! For the past 3½ years, Laurel has been working behind the scenes to help keep things running smoothly. When she’s not tucked behind two monitors working on spreadsheets and SOPs, she’s likely checking on our buildings, supporting the team, or squeezing in an audiobook between daily tasks.

Get to know Laurel, discover a few of her favorite things, and find out what makes this work meaningful to her in our first Faces of The Cooperage Project feature on our website!

https://thecooperageproject.org/faces-of-the-cooperage-project-laurel-burns/

Stay tuned as we introduce more of the people who make The Cooperage Project what it is ❤
