💜 Recovery. Hope. Healing. 💜

During National Recovery Month, we recognize and celebrate the individuals who are working toward healthier, brighter futures and the families, friends, professionals, and community members who support them along the way.

Recovery is a journey, and every step forward matters. Whether someone is taking their first step, rebuilding after a setback, or celebrating years in recovery, each day represents another opportunity for hope and healing.

Together, we can create a community where people feel safe asking for help, where recovery is celebrated, and where stigma never stands in the way of someone seeking support.

🌅 You are not alone. Help is available. Recovery is possible.

If you or someone you care about needs support or information about available resources, contact Wayne County Drug & Alcohol Commission at 570-253-6022.

Wayne County Drug & Alcohol Commission is proud to join communities across the country in recognizing National Recovery Month and celebrating the strength, courage, and resilience of individuals on their recovery journey.

Recovery is possible, and no one should have to navigate that journey alone. By coming together as a community, we can help reduce stigma, encourage conversations, connect individuals and families with support, and create an environment where recovery is celebrated.

🦋 Just as a butterfly represents transformation and new beginnings, recovery reminds us that change is possible, hope can grow, and healing can happen.

This month—and every month—let’s stand together in support of those in recovery, those working toward recovery, and the families and loved ones walking beside them.

💜 Recovery. Hope. Healing.

❤️ Today, September 9th, we recognize FASD Awareness Day.

Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASDs) can result from prenatal alcohol exposure and may have lifelong impacts. Today is an opportunity to increase awareness, strengthen prevention efforts, and remind our community of one important message:

No amount of alcohol is considered safe during pregnancy or while trying to conceive.

By sharing accurate information and supporting healthy choices, we can help prevent FASDs and build healthier futures for children and families.

❤️ Awareness today. Prevention for tomorrow.

For prevention information and resources, contact the Wayne County Drug & Alcohol Commission at 570-253-6022.

🔔 LISTEN FOR THE BELLS! 🔔

Tomorrow September 9th at 9:00 AM, churches across the nation will ring their bells nine times in recognition of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) Awareness Day. ❤️

Why 9 at 9 on the 9th? The nine bells represent the nine months of pregnancy and serve as a powerful reminder that no amount of alcohol is considered safe during pregnancy.

🔔 Hear the bells.
❤️ Remember the message.
📣 Help spread awareness.

If you or someone you know needs support, information, or a confidential alcohol assessment, contact the Wayne County Drug & Alcohol Commission at 570-253-6022.

National Recovery Month is also an opportunity for all of us to help reduce stigma, encourage conversations, and remind our friends, families, and neighbors that asking for help is a sign of strength.

💜 Recovery is possible.
💜 Hope can be restored.
💜 Healing can happen.

If you or someone you know is looking for support or resources, Wayne County Drug & Alcohol Commission is here to help. Call 570-253-6022.

Together, we can build a community where recovery is supported, celebrated, and encouraged.
