This article from CFLeads reminds us that change doesn't have to start on a national scale. It can begin right here at home, when people feel heard, connected, and empowered to make a difference.

Guest authors from CFLeads, the Rhode Island Foundation and the National Civic League discuss how community foundations can help tackle the nation’s democracy crisis on the ground.

🍕 Thank you to everyone who joined us on September 21st at Pizza & Patterns to help sort through the stories and feedback we've gathered this summer!

🏠 Our neighbors have shared love and hopes around people and community, small town charm and Main Street, natural beauty, parks and places to play, gathering places and things to do, a town that grows well, and the everyday things that shape life here, like parking, sidewalks, and housing. These themes are just the beginning and will keep taking shape as we gather community feedback.

👋 The Community Heart & Soul team would love for you to say "hi" today at Greater Honesdale Partnership's Harvest & Heritage event. If you're willing, you can share your stories to help shape the future of Honesdale. You can find them on the 700 block of Main Street all day!

How wonderful to see the Grange full! They’ve been working so hard over the last few years to update this building and it’s well used community hub for the Galilee and Damascus community!

Please join us in welcoming Chris Novoa, our new Development & Marketing Coordinator! 👋

Chris brings a diverse background spanning finance, education, entrepreneurship, and community leadership to the Wayne County Community Foundation. Most recently, he spent five years as a local small business owner, where building relationships and creating a strong sense of community were essential to his work.

A longtime Wayne County resident, Chris has also remained actively involved with local nonprofits and community organizations. Across those experiences, he has developed a core belief that strong communities are built through people, relationships, and a willingness to get involved.

Chris truly values our community for the talented people he's worked with, the organizations he's seen doing meaningful work, and the neighbors who genuinely care about where they live. He’s excited to help tell those stories, strengthen connections, and encourage even more people to see the role they can play in Wayne County’s future.

We’re excited to have Chris bring that experience, curiosity, and community-minded perspective to our team. Welcome, Chris! 🙂

It's pure joy for us to see our team members put their talents to work both on and off the clock! 🎭

This week, our very own Connor Simon takes the stage in 𝐒𝐢𝐱𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧, an original vaudeville-style musical created by NEPA artists of the WeMore Theater Troupe as part of the Scranton Fringe Festival.

At its heart, the production is a story of creativity, collaboration, and the incredible things that can happen when people come together. That is a message we can certainly get behind!

🎟️ 𝐒𝐢𝐱𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧
📅 Thursday, October 8 & Friday, October 9
⏰ 7:00 PM each night
📍 Shopland Hall at the Scranton Cultural Center
🎫 Tickets: $15

Comment 'TIX' below and we'll instantly message you the link to secure your seats.

We hope you'll come out to support local artists and cheer on one of our own! 👏
