Stephen was a community member who will be remembered for his generous spirit, commitment to service and community, and love of board games! We sure do miss him.

Please join the Himalayan Institute Residential Community in remembering and honoring the life of Stephen Moulton, who passed away on June 22, 2026.

Stephen served the Himalayan Institute for many years as Director of Operations and Corporate Treasurer. His dedication, steady presence, and many contributions to the Institute and our community will be deeply remembered. He cared deeply about sustainability and the wellbeing of our community, and that spirit of care shaped how he served all of us.

• Crisis stabilization and risk assessment
• Individualized care planning
• Individual and group counseling
• Medication management
• Collaboration, referrals, and follow-up with other providers
• Short-term stays of up to 5 days, with additional days when clinically appropriate

Dolly Parton embodied the definition of philanthropy, “love of humanity”. She certainly created a legacy that will live on in perpetuity.

We are sad to hear of the passing of Dolly Parton.

Dolly wasn’t just a country music legend; her philanthropy has changed millions of lives.

A few highlights of her incredible impact:

▪️Imagination Library: Created through the Dollywood Foundation in 1988, this signature initiative has gifted over 270 million free books to children under five worldwide.
▪️Education & Support: Her foundation funds local college scholarships, dropout-prevention programs, and 100% tuition coverage for Dollywood employees.
▪️Disaster Relief: She established the My People Fund to provide direct financial aid to families who lost their homes in the 2016 Tennessee wildfires.
▪️Medical Research: She donated $1 million to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, helping fund critical research for the COVID-19 vaccine.

In recognition of her decades of generosity, Parton was awarded the prestigious Carnegie Medal of Philanthropy in 2022.
