EMERGENCY! LONGEST RESIDENT, ZIRA - A QUEEN WITHOUT HER PALACE 🚨👑

152 DAYS. One hundred and fifty-two days. That’s how long our girl Zira has been ruling this shelter like it’s her personal kingdom. Is she a cat? Technically, yes. Is she a queen? Emotionally, spiritually, undeniably. 👑

Zira is a 4 year old tabby with strong opinions and zero tolerance for drama (unless she is causing it). She doesn’t really do other cats. Period. This is her reality show, and the rest of the cast has been cut.

She’s a girl’s girl, loves a good chat, and will sit on your lap like she paid rent. She’ll accept pets - when she feels like it - and will give you the slow blink of approval if you pass the vibe check. And if you even THINK about inviting a boy over without her permission? Prepare for the side-eye of your LIFE. ✨

Why has she been here 152 days? Probably because she told the other adopters “no” first.

Zira is looking for her ride-or-die, no other cats, no nonsense. Just vibes, snacks, and someone who GETS her.

Come meet her and see if you’re the chosen one. (You probably aren't. But we believe in you.)

👉 Not able to adopt right now but want to help our homeless pets? While it is our greatest wish that every animal would find their best match right away, the reality is that some animals spend days, weeks, and even months in the shelter. ‼️PLEASE HELP‼️
We finally have an official estimate from the vet for Spicy's rear leg amputation. A estimated total of $979.48
Having a nub (non-surgically done😔), he needs this amputation to have a pain free life. He currently injures his leg very easily while doing normal kitten things.
We got less than $100 last time we asked for donations and unfortunately, his recent vet check-up cost more than that😔

If you are even able to donate $5 towards his surgery, it would be so helpful! If not, please share so he can get as much help as possible!

It is heartbreaking seeing him be in pain when he injures himself. His vet and I have decided that this is the best option for him.

Feel free to donate using one of the links below, or you can call our vet at (864)833-2487 and donate under Sarah Snow for "Spicy's amputation"

This precious boy needs your help.
I found "Spicy kitten" and his brother under someone's lawnmower. They were just that. VERY spicy. (Sent me to the ER with bites, spicy)
Spicy kitten had somehow lost one of his back legs above his hock. His brother has been fighting with illness for the last 8 weeks and I think after a few hundred dollars, bloodwork, and four trips to the vet, he is finally🙌 on the mend.

The vet said Spicy may need to have an amputation if he irritates his nub with use. However, he has injured himself multiple times. This happens as he is being a normal playful kitten.
Sadly, there is nothing I can do besides comfort him until the pain subsides. It makes me sick to my stomach to see him in pain.
He did not have surgery immediately due to his weight and health at the time. However, now is definitely the time to start planning for his amputation.

If anyone is able to donate for this procedure, it would be greatly appreciated. I will gladly send receipts to anyone who would like to see.
I will be calling around next week to find the best place for his amputation to be done.

If you are not able to donate, please share! Any amount will help.❤️‍🩹

Black Dog Syndrome is a real thing in shelters and it's a doggone shame people don't know about it. This phenomenon is not fully understood, but some of the reasons black dogs are overlooked may include their lack of distinctive features or perceived negative stereotypes. Unfortunately this means longer waiting times in shelters. However, black dogs need love too, regardless of their color, we need to make sure their adoption chances aren't hindered by something that's out of their control. Be a spokesperson for a black dog and adopt or foster today!

To foster or adopt come by the shelter. We’re open Mon/Tues/Thur/ Fri/Sat 12-5pm.

These kittens need your help!
They were found in a lawnmower with one kitten missing most of his back right leg.
They need to make a visit to the vet but unfortunately I am not able to fund it myself while also supplying daily necessities to them.
They are needing a wellness exam, deworming, combo testing, and possibly antibiotics for the poor kittens leg. They will also be getting on the schedule for neuters since most places book a few weeks out.

If you are able to donate, please send donations to one of the following! I'd be more than happy to share receipts to any donators.

UPDATE:::
Laurens Animal Control has taken the dogs as they are evidence to animal open investigation. They will be held until a court date. I have offered to foster when the case is closed until adoption. The shelter can always use donations if anyone would like to donate there.
All donations already given will be used for my other foster pets as some vet visits are in place for them. Thank you everyone who was so gracious to help! I will keep updating as I get info on the case.

🔴URGENT🔴
I watched these sweet babies get dumped last night. I was able to get the license plate after chasing the guy down. Laurens and Greenville County Sheriff's Offices and Animal Control are involved. Buddy messed with the wrong person...

I have taken in two kittens and these four dogs since the hurricane last Friday. All have been dewormed, fed, and watered.
Both kittens have been on antibiotics for upper respiratory infections and injuries.
One kitten has a broken tail and a degloved lip.
The puppies and mama are covered in fleas, skinny, and filled with worms.
If anyone could give ANYTHING to help these poor babies, it would be greatly appreciated.

Here's a few things I need:
▪️Dog food
▪️flea meds for cats (or preferably one treatment of large dog Revolution)
▪️Dog flea treatment for the following weights:
▪️36 pounds (mama)
▪️25 pounds (male puppy)
▪️22 pounds (female puppy)
▪️18 pounds (runt female puppy)

Monetary donations can be called into Holmes Veterinary Hospital or given through PayPal, Venmo, or Cash App.
There is not currently an outstanding balance with the vets office, but I have been in contact with a vet and the dogs will be taken there. Donations can be made under the name "Sarah Adams"

For those who don't know me, I have rescued animals for years. I stopped rescuing dogs several years ago because it was more costly and extremely difficult to find placement.
I have rescued cats for 8ish years. I started with bottle feeding kittens and have taken on a hoarding case (63 live cats and a few five gallon buckets of the ones not so lucky), TrapNeuterRelease, medical cases (URIs, FIP, ruptured eyeball, broken bones, etc)

I AM NOT ACCEPTING ANIMALS. DO NOT message me asking if I can take your pet or a stray you found.
I DO NOT help with rehoming animals. My phone gets blown up constantly as it is.

Thank you to everyone who has already donated and shared.

❤️DONATION PLEA❤️
❤️❤️UPDATE ON CINNAMON❤️❤️
Those who have followed this page know that Cinnamon was diagnosed with Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) on November 7th, 2023. FIP is a fatal disease without treatment. Cats usually succumb to this disease within 5 weeks of the first symptoms.

Many vets are extremely under-educated about FIP and either misdiagnose the disease or recommended euthanasia. Many vets are completely unaware that there IS a treatment for FIP with an extremely high success rate that leads to complete remission.

The treatment is not currently approved for use in animals in the United States. However, it is available from multiple websites. This treatment is truly a life saver for SO many. There are wonderful groups who assign mentors to the owners of kitties who are suffering with FIP. These groups and this incredible treatment saved Cinnamon's life. Within the first two weeks of treatment, she went from being lethargic and eating zero food back to a spunky, extremely loving, playful kitten. She now has zero signs of FIP.

So far, Cinnamon's treatment has cost around $1,000. She still needs around $275 worth of testing to be considered cured from FIP. So far, few wonderful people have donated a total of $265 to help cover her treatment. Any donations go straight to her treatment balance and give the opportunity for even more cats and kittens to be saved❤️ ANY size donation will help! Please consider donating. If you are unable, please share🥰
