We are beyond grateful to everyone who made our BBQ fundraiser a huge success! Because of YOU, we raised just over $9,000 to help keep Meals on Wheels Medina County open and our seniors fed. 🫶

A special thank you goes out to:

🥩 Westbound Supply Company – for generously sponsoring $1,000 toward food for the event
🙌 TXN Bank – for their generous $250 donation, bottled waters, and to their amazing employee, Jorge Rivera, for volunteering his time and hard work helping set up and support during the event

Our Seniors and Disabled Neighbors Need Us Now 💔

The truth is heartbreaking: Right now, too many homebound seniors and disabled adults in our community are stuck on a waitlist — just to receive the meals they rely on each week and the comfort of a friendly face.

These are our parents, grandparents, neighbors — people who spent their lives building and supporting this community. Many are now alone, hungry, and isolated. For some, our Meals on Wheels Medina County staff and volunteers are the only visitors they see all week.

But the demand for meal services has outpaced our ability to deliver — especially with recent food cost increases and severe funding cuts, causing a need of $250,000 annually to close the gap.

📉 As of March 31, 2025, we had to make the most difficult decision: We could no longer support 60 seniors who were receiving weekly meals. They’ve now been added to a growing waitlist of over 40 others — and the list keeps growing.

We are doing everything we can, but we need your help. If you’ve ever wondered how to make a real difference — this is it.

Increases in food costs and funding cuts have left us with a $250,000 budget deficit for 2025, threatening our ability to provide meals to vulnerable and homebound seniors and disabled individuals in our community. 💔

Best offer: We are so grateful our 2007 Chrysler Town & Country has well served our Medina Senior Center / Meals on Wheels Medina County and our community yet we will need to part ways with it 💔 It works well has approximately 123,500 miles, yet the rear tire on the passenger side is flat and likely needs all 4 new tires. Also the rear passenger bumper is damaged.
