We encourage to look at nearby libraries to drop off your donations during our donation hiatus this summer. In the meantime, we hope to see you at our sales or you can purchase books at the Friends Book Shop on the mezzanine any time the library is open!

Friends of the Homewood Library are unable to take donations from June-August. If you have books to donate, please consider donating to these nearby libraries (and Good Will) this summer:

Chicago Heights Public Library
Flossmoor Public Library
Park Forest Public Library
Glenwood-Lynwood Library (children's books only)

As much as we appreciate your donations we need to be able to manage them safely without causing hazards in the lobby. Please do not leave large boxes like the one pictured on the left. Small boxes like the one pictured on the right (ex: bankers boxes) are ok to leave at the donation bin if they are not blocking any exits.
If you have a large donation you can contact us to arrange a time to drop it off.

For the month of May we are celebrating AAPI authors! Come visit the upstairs display case to see the Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage selections. There are children’s books, YA and adult books to peruse.
