💔✊🏽 The Southern Christian Leadership Conference Metro Birmingham Chapter stands with the family of Mr. Jabari Latrell Peoples and calls for immediate action and transparency from the Homewood Police Department and all involved agencies.

Jabari was unarmed, compliant, and posed no threat when he was killed — and his family was denied the dignity of timely notification and answers. These are not simple procedural failures; they are violations of basic civil and human rights.

We are demanding the immediate release of all video footage and all relevant information to Jabari’s family. They deserve the full truth. Our community deserves accountability.

As Dr. King said, “Justice too long delayed is justice denied.” We will continue to stand with this family and fight for justice until it is fully realized.
