SUMMER Fest 2026 is our 10th Anniversary Celebration and signature community gathering — an evening to come together, raise a glass, and honor the students, families, donors, and partners who have made the past decade extraordinary.

We are so proud of Dominique Barksdale, Senior STEM Educator at Homewood Science Center! 🌍✨

Many of our STEM Saturday families know Dominique as the warm smile greeting guests and inspiring young scientists each week. Recently, Dominique traveled to Osaka, Japan to participate in the Japan Youth Summit, collaborating with an international team representing Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, and the USA.

On Day 3 of the summit, Dominique and her team presented on INCLUNITY — a pilot company focused on inclusive education in Indonesia — highlighting the importance of SDG 4: Quality Education for all.

We love seeing our educators sharing ideas on a global stage and bringing new perspectives back to our community. Congratulations, Dominique, on this incredible experience and for representing Homewood Science Center internationally! 🌎💡
