This Easter, we’re taking a moment to say thank you.
To every donor who chose to give, sacrifice, and invest in our students this year, your generosity continues to shape real opportunities across Chicagoland.

Because of you, young people have access to scholarships, mentorship, and pathways that support both their education and their sense of safety. That impact reaches far beyond a single season.

Wishing you a peaceful Easter filled with gratitude and renewal.

We’re proud to introduce Jacob Roe, one of our remarkable 2025 AND Scholars!

A freshman at Howard University, Jacob is majoring in Mechanical Engineering—driven by his lifelong curiosity about how things work and a deep passion for robotics. From taking apart family appliances as a kid to exploring real-world innovation through the Project Lead the Way program, Jacob has always been focused on building, improving, and inspiring.

What fuels him most is representation: “I want to be an example for young Black kids who dream of becoming engineers.”

Jacob embodies the spirit of this scholarship—resilience, purpose, and impact.

When we talk about safer futures, it starts with giving youth the tools to create. Every notebook, every classroom, every mentor invested in their growth is one more step away from cycles of destruction.

This vision drives everything we do; nurturing ideas, sparking innovation and building opportunities where young people can lead with purpose.

Another year wrapped, and looking back feels pretty special. So many students pushed through challenges, stepped into new spaces, and found confidence in their dreams. Seeing them grow reminds us why this work matters.

Every program, workshop, and scholarship was possible because people showed up and believed in these young minds.

Thank you for being part of that energy.
