Looks like the Senior Hall embargo has been lifted!

Wes performed a terrific version of The Smithereens’ classic 1986 song “Behind the Wall of Sleep” at his Homewood show.

Congrats to Wes on this opportunity!

Saturday night was indeed an amazing journey…

From the classic to the deep cut, the audience at Homewood Izaak Walton Preserve was treated to a wide range of Pete Townshend’s catalog.

Big thanks to Dolph Chaney, Preston Pisellini and special guest, Mark Winkler, of The Webstirs, and Joe Starita, Bart Winters and Miranda Winters of Melkbelly for an absolutely fantastic night.

The sound team of Max Cichon and Oscar Peck-Dorr took care of the artists and did a great job of making the performances sound great in that intimate space.

Thanks to Trail Mix Productions for use of the stage. WD-40 can do wonders.

And as always many thanks to Izaak Walton volunteers for once again providing terrific support throughout the evening.

Thanks everyone for coming out to our little shindig.

All hail, Justin Beaver!

From Pittsburgh, PA 2004 to Homewood, IL 2026.

It was an absolute pleasure to host Wesley Stace last night in front of a packed audience at Homewood Izaak Walton Preserve on a rainy evening. The Izaak Walton volunteers once again did a superb job supporting guests and getting the space ready for some magic.

It was a masterclass of songwriting and musicianship last night that I’m sure many who attended will still be buzzing about for the next couple of days.

Thank you to all who raised the room temp up to 72 and gave Wes such a wonderful welcome. Without your support we wouldn’t be able to put on these events.

We thank Wes for choosing the HAC to host his Chicagoland stop on his current tour and taking the time to explore some of our local businesses while in Homewood.

Twenty years sure went by fast! I’m grateful to have become a friend over these past years to Wes, Dag and Casey. And I’m grateful to still be in the crowd to experience their music.
