Homewood Baseball and Softball The official page of Homewood Baseball and Softball located in Homewood, IL. All volunteer youth athletic league.

Homewood Baseball and Softball is one of the premier youth sports organizations in the Chicago Area. Established in 1951, our volunteer organization has grown to one of the largest Baseball, Softball, and T-ball organizations in the area. Each year over 900 kids from Homewood and beyond learn, play, compete, make friends, and make lifelong memories playing in one of our 10+ divisions of in-house baseball, softball, or t-ball. Our ballpark is nestled amongst the cottonwood trees in a forest-like setting inside the beautiful Izaak Walton Preserve. Featuring 3 fields, a batting cage, and a full service concession stand, our park is the jewel of the Chicago suburbs and a wonderful place to play or watch youth sports.

Your assistance is needed moving branches and limbs, removing w**ds, collecting and removing leaves and getting our home ready for the Winter. ADULTS ONLY please due to the current safety worries with downed branches and damaged structures. Bring gloves, rakes, blowers, w**d whackers etc if available.

ATTENDING THIS CLEAN UP WILL EXEMPT YOUR FAMILY FROM THE MANDATORY 2027 SPRING CLEAN UPS. A sign in sheet will be available.

Regretfully 2026 HBSL Fall Ball Has Been Cancelled Due to Field Damage

We were hopeful we could have repairs completed by our September opening date but due to the extensive number of claims from the multiple storms we have yet to receive the go ahead from our insurance carrier to make the necessary repairs. The safety of our players and fans is our top priority.

Refunds have been issued to the cards used when registering.

Huge "Thank you!" to those that have been to Izaak to assist in cleanup so that we can assess where our repair needs lie. While we do have some major repairs needed we are thankful the ballpark was empty and none of our baseball/softball family members were injured. Please stay tuned for updates.
