Today, Matanya’s Hope is at a crossroads.
We must secure housing for our orphaned and vulnerable teen girls.
We need funds to purchase (In Kenya):
4 bunk beds: $200 each ($800)
8 mattresses: $60 each ($480)
8 duvets (blankets): $160
Sheets & pillow cases for 8 beds: $72.00
8 pillows: $48.00 ($6 each)
Seating for 8 $480.00
Study table $70.00
Window coverings: $120
Wifi $20 / month
Bulbs: $5.00 / every 2 months ($30 / year)
Portable Gas cooker: $200
Regulator, gas pipe & gas: $50
Gas replacement (every month) $30
Kitchen utensils & towels: $94.00
Hygiene supplies including sanitary towels: $20 / girl = $160 / month
Cleaning supplies (broom, trash can, mop, rags, scrub brushes, clothes line & pegs) $43.50
Transport of items to house: $75.00
Rent: 200 / month + $200 deposit.

Matanya's Hope was born in 2005, fully supporting academics for 4 primary-aged children. Since then, we sponsor approximately 250 students annually - some, all of the way through master's degree programs! Our graduates have excelled in critical fields like engineering, medicine, teaching, psychology & more.
We combat hunger and water scarcity, providing nourishment and safe drinking water to thousands of children. But we need your help.
