Come create with us at Art Lab on Saturday, April 11th at 12:30 pm at The Moore Institute 🎨 Art Lab is a gentle space for adults in recovery (and their loved ones) to explore creativity as a form of healing and mindfulness. Through guided art-making, we quiet the mind, open the heart, and rediscover the joy of making. No experience needed — just curiosity. We hope to see you there!

At APC, we’re passionate about our peer support groups because they provide valuable recovery resources and create a real sense of community.

Peer support groups create a safe environment to learn new tools, share difficult experiences, and build healthy connections. We’re excited to share some of the FREE peer groups that APC supports!

On Friday, Nichole had the opportunity to educate a group of young people from Nichols Temple AME Church and NAME Ministries about opioids and other drugs. These amazing teenagers are learning all about substances, so they can produce and host a podcast about the opioid epidemic. . .for teens, by teens!!

The kiddos took great notes, asked amazing questions, and had fun too!

Our Story

We Are Addiction Prevention Coalition.

There is one thing we all share in common; Struggle. It is indeed the most common trait between people of all ages, genders, races, and backgrounds. Though our circumstances may differ, we are all beheld to the gravity of life’s challenges. Often times, we become ashamed of our struggle or we feel overwhelmed by what seems to be insurmountable obstacles. We seek answers and solutions. And at times, we simply seek to escape. Consequently, some turn away from connection with others and community--into the darkness of isolation, and despair.

Vision

To be a leader in preventing addiction by inspiring people to live with hope, resilience, and purpose.
