Local Folkus Keep the focus local! This is the place for all things local: shopping, dining, drinking, events, etc! Supporting a revival of all things local!

Local Folkus is focused on creating and building a more vital community within Homewood (and Flossmoor)...as a hub of S**o [South of Downtown]. An online resource for sustaining and improving growth and development in Homewood (and Flossmoor). For celebrating, connecting and strengthening our community.

* We believe in social and environmental responsibility.
* We believe in the power of community.
* We believe in a local living economy. We proudly think of Homewood (and Flossmoor) as a place that has the independent, progressive and community-minded spirit of a widely diverse mix of locally owned enterprises. We strive to nurture and promote these concepts. With a sense of community comes GREAT REWARDS. We establish a sense of loyalty to one another and our shared place. We provide support to one another in a variety of ways, shapes and sizes....economical, emotional, social, to name a few. We develop our community together in ways that feed our core and our spirit. Focus local!
