Wet season is back at Everglades National Park! 🌿

Our naturalists are all looking forward to seeing more water in the Everglades. Although this season has been a slower return, wet season brings more waters to all of our experiences at Everglades National Park Institute. Our wet walks (or slogging experiences) will have more possibilities of deeper waters, our Nine Mile Pond canoeing will have more areas accessible to explore, and more!

At Everglades National Park Institute, safety is always our priority. We're excited to partner with Stohlquist WaterWare on these incredible life vests we will be using during our programming. Both for the security they provide and how awesome they look! Looking forward to taking them out on more trips and sharing more about this partnership.

Note: Pictured here is our naturalist Albert showing us some of the water returning to Everglades National Park, wearing Stohlquist life jackets - Spectrum PFD and OSFA PFD. Wet walks do not require life jackets but were used in these pictures to emphasize our importance of safety and return of wet season. Any questions, feel free to send us a message!

We're going fishing again! 🎣

Join us for our FREE Veteran Fishing Workshop on Saturday, September 5th, from 9AM - 1PM for a day of fishing, history and good quality time outdoors at the Everglades National Park. Now open to all public!

See details below:
🎣 $25 per booking deposit required to secure spot, will be refunded after check-in.
🎣 Must have a park pass. Veterans are eligible to receive a free National Park Lifetime pass.
🎣 All participants over the age of 16 must have a Florida Freshwater Fishing License.
🎣 Snacks, beverages, fishing equipment and bait will be provided.
🎣 Check in will be at Ernest F. Coe Visitor Center.

Always remember to teach our youth and the next generation how to love nature 🌳

We were joined by MAC Career and College Readiness program on a wet walk and exploring throughout Everglades National Park. Truly so special to teach kids about this park and about opportunities they may have in environmentalism.

Ranger Laura Barcos also joined us to speak to the kids about all of this and more. A huge shoutout to her for everything she does 💚 Today being World Ranger Day, we felt it was a perfect opportunity to highlight Laura and all rangers for their work and inspiration!
