🇺🇸 The Best Kind of Medicine: Honoring a Vietnam Hero

​Every day is an opportunity to provide emotional support, but days like this hold a truly special place in our hearts.

​We recently had the profound honor of conducting a bedside salute for a regular hero of ours—a Vietnam veteran who has carried the heavy, daily burden of profound PTSD for over 50 years. Like many of his generation, he never sought help from the VA. For him, these salutes are a vital validation that his sacrifice had deep meaning and worth.

​This time, the experience was elevated to a whole new level thanks to our incredible partners at the VFW Homestead Post 4127.

When the VFW joins us at the bedside, magic happens. The former Post Commander delivered a powerful, customized tribute to his service and presented him with a beautifully folded American flag. Seeing our veteran’s strong, proud salute—and a few tears of profound gratitude—reminded us why this partnership is so vital. The VFW brings a deep, peer-to-peer brotherhood right to the bedside, offering a level of respect and closure that heals the spirit in ways medicine cannot.

​To top off the celebration, he was thrilled to receive a custom Army pillow and an American flag blanket, lovingly hand-crafted by our wonderful volunteers, Ada and Cathy.

​To our veteran, to Post 4127, and to our volunteers: Thank you. It is our absolute privilege to serve those who served us.

We are incredibly proud to support the Valor and Unity Crew and the Global Empowerment Mission (GEM) in their upcoming relief efforts for Venezuela! 🇻🇪✨

​This incredible initiative bridges veterans and youth together to make a massive global impact. Volunteers are needed to help package vital aid, support warehouse logistics, and assist with daily operations to ensure relief gets to those who need it most.

​If you are looking for a meaningful way to give back—or if you're a student looking to earn community service hours—this is your opportunity!
