What an amazing experience exploring science, creativity, and imagination! πŸŒŒπŸ“š

We observed Jupiter and learned about constellations while rocking colorful space helmets πŸͺπŸ‘©πŸ½β€πŸš€πŸ‘¨πŸ½β€πŸš€. Participants also got creative by building glow-in-the-dark rockets that lit up our space adventure πŸš€πŸ’‘βœ¨.

In celebration of International Poetry Month, we connected the stars to words through poetry inspired by the night sky πŸŒ™βœπŸ½πŸ’«β€”blending science and self-expression in a beautiful way.

Thank you to everyone who joined and made this event so special! πŸ’™πŸŒŸ

Cub Scout Camp-Out Part 1

We are stoked to share pictures from our camping weekend. πŸ•οΈπŸ”₯πŸͺ΅

Families arrived at the campsite and checked in before receiving their campsite assignments. Leaders reviewed the buddy system and park rules to ensure everyone understood safety expectations.
Scouts then worked together to set up tents and the dining area, with adults guiding while youth handled age-appropriate tasks.
Once camps were established, the group gathered for the opening ceremony in Class A uniforms, which included the flag ceremony, πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Scout Oath and Law, and a brief overview of the weekend along with safety reminders.
The morning concluded with lunch, giving everyone time to relax, hydrate, and enjoy time together before continuing activities. ⚜️

At this week’s meeting, our scouts dove into hands-on learning and outdoor adventure. They reviewed the Essential 6 - the six must have items for staying safe and prepared in camp: a flashlight, sunscreen, food, water, a whistle, and bandages.

The scouts also practiced key camping skills, including setting up a tent, tying a double hitch knot, and learning how to properly store trash away from raccoons to keep campsites clean and safe.

To top it all off, the group came together to celebrate Stephanie (our committee chair’s) birthday, making the evening even more special. It was a great mix of learning, teamwork, and funβ€”building confidence and life skills along the way. πŸ•οΈπŸŽ‰
