Homer Downtown District The DDA is designed to be a catalyst in the development of a community’s downtown district To date, eight facades have been restored.

Who We Are:
Homer DDA (Downtown Development Authority) was founded in 2009 to
secure the foundation of our village. Since we began in 2009, we have
coordinated local businesses together with facade grants to restore and
preserve our "Downtown" area. Our aim is to continue to pre-
serve the beautiful architecture of Homer's beginnings. It should be noted that the Homer DDA is established by the "Vi

llage
Council" by statute and our participation with the Village of Homer is funded
by improved DDA taxable values. We are funded by monies captured by
already collected taxes and redistributed to the downtown infrastructure for the
benefit of the community.

🌸 Our new downtown planters are officially planted and looking beautiful just in time for peak summer!

A huge thank you to the Homer DPW for their help in making this project happen, and to all of our DDA members for coming together, putting in the work, and getting it completed so quickly. Teamwork like this helps keep our downtown welcoming and vibrant for everyone to enjoy.

We hope our residents and visitors love these colorful additions to Main Street as much as we do! 🌼🌿

The Homer Downtown Development Authority group (DDA) is excited to share that today we are placing 10 new beautiful flower planters downtown that will stand the test of time! Thank you Homer DPW for getting them unloaded and perfectly placed!
