Pet Profile Rescue Pet Profile Rescue & Schnauzer Rescue Connection is a compassionate, Chicago-area rescue dedicated to giving dogs a second chance.

Meet Rocket 🚀

Rocket is a 2-year-old, 19.4-pound Schnauzer mix with a big personality packed into a little package! This happy, social boy is sweet, affectionate, playful, and full of energy.

Rocket loves to run and play, and he’d be a great match for an active family who enjoys getting outside and giving their dog plenty of exercise and attention. Despite his energy, he has a nice recall—when called, Rocket comes back, which is a wonderful quality for an active young dog.

Rocket is also good with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends. He’s easy to handle and walks nicely on a leash.

Like many young dogs, Rocket is still working on some manners. He can be vocal when he’s excited and is a door dasher, so his family will need to be careful around open doors and continue working with him on this behavior.

Rocket is already neutered and vetted and is ready for his next adventure!

If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate, active companion who will keep you moving and make you laugh, Rocket may be your guy. 🚀❤️

Annie is a sweet little white girl, born 3/15/2026, and Trixie is her adorable black sister, also born 3/15/2026.

These two are as cute as can be, but they do not need to be adopted together. Each girl is looking for her own loving forever family where she can be spoiled rotten and grow into the wonderful little companion she’s meant to be. ❤️

✈️🐾 PENELOPE HAS ARRIVED IN CHICAGO! 🐾✈️

Look at this sweet girl! ❤️ Penelope made it safely to Chicago with her flight nanny, and apparently she had no problem getting into her carrier—she was more than willing to jump right in herself! 😂🥰

After her recent seizures, we were concerned about putting Penelope through a long ground transport, so we decided flying with a flight nanny was the best option for her.

And now she's safe and here! 🎉🐾

Her flight carrier and flight fee totaled $155, and we'd love to find a few wonderful people willing to help sponsor her trip.

This sweet girl has already been through bladder stone surgery, an infection, and seizures. She's had more than her share of challenges, and we're so happy she is finally here where she can be surrounded by her rescue family and continue getting the care she needs.

💕🐾 Meet Muriel — look at this little sweetheart! 🐾💕

Muriel's story started at an overcrowded animal shelter after she was found as a stray and never reclaimed by her owner. 💔

When she arrived at the shelter, she had a long, unkempt coat. After some much-needed TLC, we can finally see just how adorable this little girl is—and she sure looks like a Schnauzer underneath all that fur! 🥰✂️

Muriel is estimated by her veterinarian to be about 12 years old and weighs approximately 10 pounds. She's already spayed and has had a dental, so she's ready to start the next chapter of her life.

There is one medical issue we'll need to keep an eye on. Muriel has a grade 4–5/6 heart murmur, which means her future family will need to keep up with regular veterinary care and monitoring to make sure she stays as healthy and comfortable as possible. ❤️

But don't let her age—or her heart murmur—keep you from considering this adorable little senior. Muriel has so much love to give, and after finding herself alone in a shelter, she deserves a quiet, loving home where she can be spoiled for the rest of her life.

Don't let his 19-pound body fool you—Rocket has a BIG personality packed into a little package! 🐶🚀

Rocket is a 2-year-old Schnauzer mix who is currently in the shelter and needs a foster or adopter urgently.

This happy, social boy is sweet, affectionate, energetic, and playful. He loves being around his people and is always ready for his next adventure. He's easy to handle and walks well on leash.

Rocket is also:
🐾 Good with other dogs!
🐾 Energetic and playful
🐾 Very affectionate
🐾 Social and people-oriented
🐾 About 19.4 lbs
🐾 2 years old

Like any young dog, Rocket has a few things he'll need help with. He can get vocal when excited and is a door dasher, so his family will need to be careful around open doors and work with him on that behavior.

But Rocket isn't looking for perfection.

He's looking for someone who will give him exercise, attention, structure, training, and lots of love. ❤️

💕🚨 ROMAN NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME ASAP! 🚨💕

Roman is arriving in Chicago on Monday, and we desperately need a place for him to land! 🐾

Roman was surrendered to a shelter with his mom, Penelope, after their owner became too ill to care for them. While at the shelter, Roman suffered a serious eye injury after a fight with his dad. Sadly, his eye could not be saved, but he has recovered well from surgery. ❤️

Roman was born 5/3/2025 and weighs about 16 pounds. He is neutered and up to date on vaccinations.

He’s an affectionate boy who loves attention, but he can definitely be a little bossy pants! 😂 Because of that, Roman would do best as an only dog or with a dog who won’t challenge him.

🏡 We need a foster or forever home in the Chicago area NOW.

Roman will be arriving Monday, and we don’t want this sweet boy to have to wait for his next safe place.
