🏕️ A Little Late Posting, But the Adventure Is Underway!

Troop 63 is spending the weekend at Camp Bullfrog with the Arrow of Light (AOL) Scouts from Pack 64!

It’s a great opportunity for our AOL Scouts to experience Scouts BSA camping firsthand, build new friendships, learn outdoor skills, and see what troop life is all about.

Our Troop 63 Scouts are stepping up as leaders, helping the younger Scouts get a taste of the adventures ahead!

Looking forward to a great weekend of Scouting, teamwork, and fun!

A few photos from Troop 63’s September campout in Wisconsin!

It was a great weekend of exploring, camping, and making memories together. The Scouts visited Tower Hill State Park, House on the Rock, and the historic Gard Theater in Spring Green, built in 1922.

We had a little rain along the way, but nothing that could dampen the Scouts’ spirits. They made the most of the weekend, had a lot of fun, and enjoyed some great time together as a Troop.

Another fun adventure in the books for Troop 63!

A pretty special update to the Troop 63 trailer today — our Eagle Scout Honor Roll is officially caught up through 2026!

Congratulations to Steven, Matthew, Jack, Zachary, Tristan, Wyatt, Logan, Evan, and Jacob — you’re officially trailer official!

It made the update even better to have Jack, Zachary, Logan, and Evan with us at today’s Family Picnic.

We were also fortunate to have Ryan, Jett, and Lucas there, giving us the chance to get seven Troop 63 Eagle Scouts together for one photo. Pretty cool to see that much Troop 63 history in one place.

And a very special thank you to Rob at Freedom Design & Decals in Mokena for helping us update the trailer graphics and keep this tradition going!

Congratulations to Jacob, Hunter, MJ, Michael, Danny, and Mr. Chavez on completing their induction into the Order of the Arrow this weekend!

The Order of the Arrow recognizes Scouts and Scouters who exemplify the ideals of brotherhood, cheerfulness, and service. We’re proud to have each of you representing Troop 63 and look forward to seeing you continue that commitment to service within our troop, council, and Scouting community.

Congratulations on this well-earned honor!

More photos from Troop 63’s weekend campout at Shawnee National Forest!

Saturday included plenty of time on the trail, including some “cooking on the trail” at the bottom of a waterfall — even if the waterfall itself was a little short on water!

Hot dogs for dinner last night, followed by Rose, Bud & Thorn this morning as the Scouts reflected on the weekend.

And now…one final stop for lunch in Tuscola on the way home after a great weekend in Southern Illinois.
