Many people get the observer effect wrong. They think that electrons somehow sense when we are watching them, but that’s not true. Electrons don’t have awareness or feelings. What really happens is that when scientists try to observe or measure an electron, they have to use light or other forms of energy to see it.

When the light (made of photons) hits the electron, it changes the electron’s behavior. This makes the electron act more like a particle instead of a wave. So, the strange change we see isn’t because the electron “knows” anything it’s because our way of observing it disturbs it. It’s not magic or mystery; it’s simply how physics works.
