Two more Holyoke Volunteer Fire Department members responded to the Nebraska Morrill Fire as relief crew for our Type 6 fire engine. The two members who deployed the previous day have now returned home.

March 15, 2026

Our two-member crew and engine returned to Holyoke today after completing their operational period. We are honored to have been able to assist with such a monumental fire event and are grateful to have all of our members home safely. Thank you to everyone who kept our crews and all responders in your thoughts and prayers.

This afternoon the Holyoke Volunteer Fire Department deployed a Type 6 fire engine and two of our members to assist with the Morrill Fire response in Nebraska.

Today members participated in a multi-agency mock incident as part of an FCCLA project at Holyoke High School. There were stations throughout the morning for students to go through presented by Holyoke Police, Holyoke EMS, MMH nursing, CSP and the Phillips County Coroner. Attached are pictures from set up and some members trying out the drunk googles.

We are excited to announce: Holyoke Volunteer Fire Department Receives Donation from Corteva/Pioneer and Vieselmeyer Seed Inc.

Corteva Supports Rural Rescue

Holyoke CO, July 4th, 2025— Vieselmeyer Seed Inc and Corteva Agriscience/Pioneer HI Bred are pleased to announce that a donation of $5000 was given toward the Holyoke Volunteer Fire Department as part of their company sponsorship program for the fire department for support of Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus.
Giving back to the community especially to the Holyoke Volunteer Fire Department with dedicated trained service members saving lives is important. Outreach grants from Corteva supports quality of life initiatives and creates an improved, sustainable lifestyle for people worldwide.
