🥵⚾️ It was a hot one out at Springfield College for week 6 today, but that didn’t stop our awesome athletes from showing up, giving it their all, and playing their hearts out! 💪☀️
We are so proud of their effort, teamwork, and determination—even when the sun was blazing. That’s what baseball is all about! ⚾️❤️

Today we were joined by our friends and sponsors from PeoplesBank who joined us on the field today to support our players and cheer them on! Thank you to Brian and Matt for having the honor of throwing out our ceremonial pitches for our first 2 games! Both of them went for Strikes!

For game number 3, we were thrilled to have Sam from Sam Halley Electrical, a long time supporter and sponsor of Miracle League out to the field. Some of you may remember Sam from years ago when we dabbled on close up magic! Thank you Sam for continuing to support our players on and off the field! Sam's contact info will be in the photos below if you need some work done, Sam's your man!

Just 2 more weeks remain in our spring season! We are 6 for 6 with weather at a 10 ☀️ Can we go 7 for 7? We will see!

What an fun-filled and exciting day this past Sunday during week 5 of our Spring Season. Needless to say, EVERYONE had the 6_7 spirit!
Thank you to all of our ceremonial first pitch guests and volunteer groups for the day.

We started the day off in the political realm with our friend MA State Senator Jake Oliveira. He was able to dust off his baseball arm and threw a successful strike and even got into the 6-7 fun! Game 2 featured Jeromie Whalen who is running this Fall for the First Congressional District seat in the US Congress. We appreciate you and some of your staff for helping to be a buddy to our amazing players. Little known fact: He took some amazing photos and was our resident paparazzi on Sunday! Best of Luck Jeromie! Game 3 showcased our long time sponsors and supporters of Miracle League, Rob and Ryan from Alekman DiTusa LLC! Boy do we love our local sponsors! IYKYK 😉 Thank you both! Yup, they made the 6_7 montage as well. Check out the video in the comments 👍

Colleens, Car Washes and Baseball Team Owner were among the many appearances that we had during Week 3 and 4! Week 3 we were joined by the Springfield St. Patrick's Parade Committee Court Members Anna Flanagan Sophia Dow, Siobhan MacDonnell & Emma Westbrooks. Today we were joined by Holyoke St. Patrick's Parade Grand Colleen Jadyn Christine and Court Member Paige Lahey. These girls assisted our players, joined in our player intros, threw out the first pitch and represented themselves and their city with pride! Thank you for joining us!

Westfield Starfires team owner Chris Thompson took to the mound and threw out our first pitch and then joined DJ Gingey in the announce booth to do some play by play.

Rounding out our first pitch highlights was longtime ML supporter and sponsor Soapy Noble, represented by Jamie Frisbie. Thank you for the car washes. We know our families vehicles will be looking their best!

It was so warm during week 3 that even Elmo had to find a way to cool off. He hopped into the bucket of ice!!

Congrats to our very own Coach Pat who will have the honor of being one of torch runners for the 2026 Special Olympics Massachusetts Summer Games! So happy to have you on the coaching crew and Avery as part of our Miracle League of Western Ma family! Thank you for all you do!

For Patrick Dooney, what started as an invitation to join the Law Enforcement Torch Run years ago became something deeply personal, a journey shaped by family, inclusion, and finding purpose through Special Olympics Massachusetts.

Now, as both a LETR member and proud father of SOMA athlete Avery, Patrick has seen firsthand how inclusion can change lives, bring families together, and create a true sense of belonging. ❤️
