Hope for Holyoke Mission Statement

Hope for Holyoke is a safe place where people in all pathways of recovery can come together and grow in their own recovery. We are people from differing backgrounds working together for the common goal of recovery in a supportive and serene environment. We help each other to expand our recovery by sharing our own experiences and learning ways to give back to our

community. We provide opportunities through groups, trainings, and networking to learn how to communicate effectively and how to love ourselves. Hope for Holyoke offers not only recovery but discovery in ones hopes and dreams. This center offers HOPE!

Today the City of Holyoke Observed International Overdose Awareness Day. We gathered at Holyoke City Hall for the proclamation and flag raising before our way back to Veteran's Park.

We had 20 plus resource tables, several speakers, dozens of guests and supporters from our community. A park filled with people, an atmosphere of being together. Names spoken and remembered. Purple tea lights, flag,s and stones to mark the memories of our lived ones.

Hope for Holyoke would like to thank everyone who participated in our 2026 Overdose Awareness event. We would also like to thank those who helped plan it, and to our hard work8ng volunteers we especially want to acknowledge your efforts and support in set up and break downs.

A Day of remembrance to remeber.

Tonight Hope for Holyoke joined VALOR Recovery Center for a night of overdose awareness and remembrance.

We are grateful for the time spent with our friends and loved ones, sharing in the memories of the ones we've lossed due to overdose, and bringing awareness to the community at large.

Starting at VALOR we gathered together and broke bread together. We readied ourselves to make our our way to Springfield City Hall where City Hall Representative Helen Harris, DHHS, and VALOR Program Director Charlie Dirosa along with VALOR staff and fellow members spoke on overdose awareness, the stigma of addiction, and remembrance.

Thank you VALOR!

Today Hope for Holyoke's Outreach Crew attended Holyoke Safe Neighborhoods Back to School event!

Our members gave back as volunteers helping out with the virtual reality arcade games and sharing a positive example of recovery.

At the event, local children received backpacks, school supplies, clothing, haircuts and other necessities, and got to enjoy a day of family fun as well with free food and activities.

Safe Neighborhoods hosts this event every year for local families and we greatly appreciate having the opportunity to be of service to them.

We hope to see you all again next year!
