🌍 Pack 80 Goes Global! 🌍
This past weekend at our Pack 80 campout in Cathedral Pines Park, we hosted an incredible Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) event! Ten Scouts—eight Cub Scouts and two Den Chiefs—rotated through three exciting stations and made live radio contacts with Scouts in Puerto Rico, Portugal, India, Brazil, and the United Kingdom. 🇵🇷🇵🇹🇮🇳🇧🇷🇬🇧
They compared camping traditions, shared favorite camp meals, and even learned to say parts of the Scout Law in other languages. One Cub was amazed to find out his new friend in Puerto Rico was looking at two iguanas while they talked! 🦎
The event was a huge success and connected our Scouts to the worldwide Scouting movement. We’re already planning to make next year’s JOTA even bigger—and expanding into an International Pen Pal Exchange to keep the connections growing! 🌐✨
