Although he's been with us for a year now, we want to introduce you to our Director of Recruiting, Carson Whittemire. Please read Carson's testimony below:

"Growing up at First Baptist Church, Cassville, Missouri, I was used to having camps every Summer. Despite only being a camper once, in third grade, I fell in love with the ministry. The Summer after my 7th grade year, Board Chair, Jeff Allee, who served as my Recreation Pastor, invited me to go with him and a group of gentlemen to Miller South Dakota to put on a Basketball Camp. I would go on to make that trip for the next 7 years. In 2021 as I was graduating high school, Tricia asked about my availability to join Crusaders that Summer and unfortunately I had to say no due to already having a full-time job, same thing in 2022.

However, God's timing is always perfect the door opened in 2023, and I joined the Crusader family as a basketball team leader. As the Summer concluded, I got married to my high school sweetheart. And took a Youth Pastor position at Fairview Baptist Church in Joplin, Missouri, which I am blessed to still be serving in. This meant that like my camper days, I would only serve for one Summer.

From August 2023-April 2025 I would volunteer and assist with recruiting at Missouri Southern State University and the 417 Collegiate Retreat in Mount Vernon as the "Unofficial Director of Volunteering." Additionally, I've been leading a trip to Carlisle, Arkansas, to put on basketball and soccer camps. Last year, Tricia approached me and asked if I'd be interested to come on in an official capacity and after a time of prayer, I happily accepted the offer. I am excited to be on the team and strive to do all that I can in this role for God's glory and the ministry's growth."
