Banner Creek Science Center & Observatory

Banner Creek Science Center & Observatory Banner Creek Science Center and Observatory is located 3 miles west of Highway 75 on K-16 to N Road, then 3/4 mile south where you'll find an entrance sign

BCSC is open some Saturday evenings for observing sessions. Check our calendar and FB for upcoming dates. In addition there are Small Scientist sessions the first and third Wednesday morning each month. Doors are open from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. These are led by Nanci Kennedy. Contact the calendar for updates and times. There is no charge for these activities but the center relies on freewill donations

to stay open, so please consider donating. There will be charges for the Astronomy themed breakout room and certain classes and presentations planned for the future. For more information on these educational exploration and breakout room, contact Cari Andrews, Education Director at [email protected]. Observing sessions will be hosted by Matt McAuliffe, observatory director, and/or his volunteer staff. Science exploration will be hosted by Cari Andrews, Education Director. Last exploration Wednesday of the summer is beginning! Come out and meet George and Ginger and help us finish our collage. It is wet and sticky so we have all the activities up close or inside the building today. Hope to see you between 9 and noon today!

Come on out to the science center from 9-noon today to help with our torn paper mosaic, visit 3-week-old pot belly pig, Miss Piggy, paint kindness rocks with the Kindness Krew, read a new book on the book walk, and explore all of our other fun play areas!

What a beautiful day! We can hear the birds singing and children laughing as they enjoy our activities! Today you can paint rocks to look like food for our mud kitchen, and make some music on our new outdoor xylophone. As well as enjoy all our regular activities. Don’t forget to say hi to Turbo. We are open between 9 and noon every Wednesday.

Perfect day to try out some new activities like the painting easels and the weaving loom as well as play with some of our old favorites like the water table! We are open until noon. Fun for the whole family and it is free! Children must be accompanied by an adult.
