Banner Creek Science Center & Observatory Banner Creek Science Center and Observatory is located 3 miles west of Highway 75 on K-16 to N Road, then 3/4 mile south where you'll find an entrance sign

BCSC is open some Saturday evenings for observing sessions. Check our calendar and FB for upcoming dates. In addition there are Small Scientist sessions the first and third Wednesday morning each month. Doors are open from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. These are led by Nanci Kennedy. Contact the calendar for updates and times. There is no charge for these activities but the center relies on freewill donations

to stay open, so please consider donating. There will be charges for the Astronomy themed breakout room and certain classes and presentations planned for the future. For more information on these educational exploration and breakout room, contact Cari Andrews, Education Director at [email protected]. Observing sessions will be hosted by Matt McAuliffe, observatory director, and/or his volunteer staff. Science exploration will be hosted by Cari Andrews, Education Director. Here’s what little scientists will be exploring:

β˜˜οΈπŸ€ Cloud Rainbow Art : All supplies provided for tracing, painting, or turning plates into cloud/rainbow type creations. A wonderful opportunity for creativity and making a fun holiday craft.

πŸ€β˜˜οΈ Potato Fizz – Make a potato bubble! Watch as your child creates a science experiment. Great for motor skills, & a cause and effect experience.

β˜˜οΈπŸ€ Find and Seek - Sensory tubs for the littles to "find and seek" the items on the sheet. Dig with hands as they search in our tubs for the missing items. Can you find them all?

πŸ€β˜˜οΈ Free play- we have so many fun toys to explore!

As always, children will also have access to open-ended indoor play, along with our outdoor nature playscape and book walk trail when weather allows.

πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ Small Scientists is designed for toddlers and preschoolers to explore with their caregivers and peers. Older and younger siblings welcome. These sessions focus on simple, meaningful play that supports creativity, curiosity, and social connection. It takes place at Banner Creek Science Center on the first and third Wednesdays of each month.
