Celebrate your community with ART!

Holton Walmart (Store 378) is calling on local artists, art students, and art organizations to submit artwork in celebration of your local community. Our goals are to bring civic pride; engage local artists, schools and nonprofits; and promote local education and the arts.

We are excited to invite artists to submit original or existing artwork that represents the unique qualities of the select store’s community. Art should depict local references, landscapes, icons and/or environment. Although this is a mural project, we are not seeking mural-size artwork.

Artists need to submit artwork as follows:

Customized artwork:
-In the aspect ratio and dimensions of your selected store’s mural
-Fit on a 17” wide by 11” tall (inches) paper or unstretched canvas.
-No creases or created on highly textured surfaces or have high gloss finishes
-Digital artwork or photographs:

In the aspect ratio and dimensions of your selected store’s mural
-File size of uploaded images: 30MB maximum
-Image Resolution: 1920 by 1080 pixels or greater.
-Formats accepted include: Vector files, Scalable PDF, or TIFF files
-Selected submissions will be reproduced as a large in-store mural and selected artists will receive a $300 stipend per store. With thousands of customers a day, your art is sure to be seen!

Please complete the form at http://walmartmurals.com/ to receive more information about the Walmart Community Mural Project and you will be directed to upload preview files for consideration. Enter the store number to see the store’s unique art submission deadline and customized size of files required.

After submitting your contact information along with your artwork, the store manager will review the submission and make the selection. If selected, your artwork will be digitally transferred onto a printed wall mural and installed at the store.

We appreciate your interest in participating in the Walmart Community Mural Program and we look forward to celebrating community with you!

Thanks, Jackson County and guests from other areas, for coming out to the 2015 Jackson County Art Walk! I think it might have been the best one yet. We appreciate your support! Thanks also to the artists and musicians who gave so much of their time preparing and performing and the business owners who hosted artists. We literally couldn't have done it without you all. Until next year...
