Huge Shout out to our Agribusiness Management class for all of their work reorganizing and displaying our chapter history! Great job to Addison, Tinsley, Adalyn, Camryn, Pierson, Dalton, Elisa and Rebekah. If you are around the HS this fall check out the basement hallway outside the ag room or swing by and introduce yourself to Ms H at back to school night in August or PTC in October to see inside the ag room.

Here are a few highlights:
⭐️ Everyhting has a home and is organized by district event or level of competition.
⭐️ State and American Degree Signs Permanently Updated
⭐️Name Plates on all National CDE/LDE plaques
⭐️More rows added to basement hallway and everything reorganized and remounted.
⭐️State CDE Champion National Qualifier plaques in the basement hallway.
⭐️All trophies from the 40’s - 80’s displayed in the commons trophy case.
⭐️All B team plaques 95 to 2023 documented and stored for a future project.
⭐️and more little wrinkles hidden around

Shout out to Aleta Allen and Country Images for doing amazing work on the plates as always!

And a legacy note: Mr Stan Bartel made the State of Kansas and National Cutouts for us many years ago to match the old State Degree State! They look
So good out there.

UPDATE: Landed in DC right on time this morning. Uber to the hotel and checked in to the conference. Playing cards and getting to know members from all over the country last we heard.

Best of Luck to Delaney New! Today we submitted her official application for 2026 American Star Farmer.

We are thankful to Kansas FFA and Ms. Mary Kane for identifying her SAE from the 2026 American Degree Applicants and nominating her for this honor. She has been working hard to polish the application and update her records over the last few months and today is the day to press the button to send it on. Judging happens in July and national finalists are selected around August 1st.

Here are just a few of her outstanding accomplishments:
👉2026 American FFA Degree Candidate
👉2024 National Final 4 - Ag Sales Entrepreneurship Proficiency Award
👉2023 National Final 4 - Diversified Livestock Proficiency Award
👉2023 NE District FFA Star Farmer and State FFA Degree Recipient

If you see her please pass on a big congratulations and check out her and her family's locally raised products at a farmers market or direct off the farm. She loves visiting about regenerative agriculture practices, direct to consumer marketing and Kansas agriculture/family farms in general.

No matter how this goes Delaney, we are extremely proud to have you call Holton home and for your outstanding run as a Holton FFA Member.

To put into perspective what elite company Delaney is in, to the best of my recollection she is only the 4th Holton FFA Member to ever be state nominated for American Star.

Side note: Every fall our freshmen during the FFA Opportunities Unit learn (what seems like a random trivia question) that FFA member's can maintain membership up until the 4th national convention past high school graduation. Coming back to get that American FFA Degree is exactly the circumstance where this applies. 😉
