Welcome to Holton Ms H!

New Teacher Alert: Meet Meghan Hunerdosse!

We are excited to welcome Meghan Hunerdosse to our high school teaching team as our new Agricultural Education Instructor and FFA Advisor!

While Meghan is officially joining us this year, she is already a familiar face to many of our students and families. Throughout this spring, she has already been investing in our program by assisting with chapter officer interviews and helping support the FFA Chapter Banquet in April. Her willingness to jump in, build relationships, and support students right away speaks volumes about her passion for agricultural education and student leadership.

A recent graduate of Northwest Missouri State University, Meghan brings enthusiasm, knowledge, and a deep commitment to helping students grow both academically and personally. She believes agricultural education is about far more than classroom instruction. It’s about preparing students to become confident leaders, skilled problem-solvers, and future-ready individuals.

Meghan gained valuable experience during her student teaching at Sabetha High School, where she worked across multiple agricultural pathways including animal science, horticulture, plant science, and agricultural mechanics. She also brings specialized NC3 certifications in Agricultural Mechanics, helping connect classroom learning to real-world industry skills.

Her leadership background is equally impressive. Meghan served as President of Sigma Alpha and earned her American FFA Degree, the highest honor awarded within the National FFA Organization. Those accomplishments reflect her dedication to service, leadership, and the future of agriculture.

Meghan is passionate about creating engaging, hands-on experiences where students feel connected, challenged, and supported. We are excited for the energy and leadership she will bring to our agriculture and FFA programs.

Please join us in giving Meghan a warm Holton welcome as she begins this exciting new chapter with us!

SENIOR SHOP RAT SHOUT OUT!!! Carter Lynch - Class of 2026

If you see this guy please congratulate him and wish him best of luck in his future! Carter not only graduated from HHS in December, but also completed the Washburn Tech Diesel Tech Program and was a concentrator in our Ag Power and Technical Systems Pathway!

They say the best teachers and programs steal ideas from someone else. After we got our Plasma Table, we “borrowed” the senior signs idea from Mr. Pottroff at Horton. Carter ran out of time to get his custom designed semi finished last semester and has been coming in this spring to finish it up. Today was the day to cut and SUCCESS. Great job Sir! It looks great and will make a great addition to the shop wall.

He has lined up a great job in manufacturing in the Topeka area and will be soon be getting that CDL. Proud to have you in the “Shop Rat” family. Good luck down the road!

8th Graders - Sewing with 🔥🔥🔥

One of our favorite units of the year for our basic shop skills intro to welding with an Oxy - Act torch. It might be old school but they learn basic safety and to respect the equipment and process.

This semester has been a great group.

Horseshoe nail cowboys coming soon.

-Larison Sisters Livestock for donating beef, pork and, lamb cuts and additional items for the ID competition.

💪Finally, our 8th grade team spend the afternoon down at the high school track getting a start on fixing up the track shed and repainting the timing stand both build by the Ag program many years ago. The process is started. The chapter received a Living to Serve Grant from National FFA to make those two items a little better than we found them!
