The Holstein Fire Department would like to welcome our newest Junior Firefighter, Bretton Fraser, to the department!

We are excited to have Bretton join our team and begin learning what it means to serve our community.

Our Junior Firefighter program provides young members the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge, develop leadership skills, and experience the fire service firsthand.

Please join us in welcoming Bretton to the Holstein Fire Department family. We look forward to watching him grow and succeed as part of our department!

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten.

As we spend time with family and friends this Memorial Day, we ask everyone to take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of the day and remember those who gave everything for our freedom.

The City of Holstein Fire Department was grateful to receive a grant from Missouri River Historical Development in the amount of $21,400 for some much needed tools when dealing with extrication with electric vehicles. This grant will also help purchase some much needed fans for ventilation and rehab when on a scene.
We are very lucky, happy, and GRATEFUL to have Larry Folk helping out our department with all of this!
Thank you to everyone for all the support. Our department wouldn't be what it is without it!

πŸš’ Training Night at Holstein Fire Department

Last night during our monthly practice night, our members had the opportunity to demo some new electric TNT extrication tools.

A big thank you to Danko for coming down and showing us how the tools operate and what they are capable of.

Our firefighters spent several hours cutting up cars and working through different extrication scenarios to get hands-on experience with the equipment and see how the tools perform in real situations.

Training opportunities like this help us stay prepared and continue providing the best possible service to our community.

We appreciate the chance to learn about new technology and continue improving our skills! πŸ”₯πŸš‘

🚨 Another Busy Day for Holstein Fire Department

Our volunteers were kept on their toes as we responded to two calls back-to-back.

The first call was for hay on fire, where we assisted alongside Battle Creek Fire Department as mutual aid.

While crews were in the process of refilling trucks with water, a second call came in for a fence line fire.

Thanks to the quick response and teamwork of all personnel involved, both incidents were handled safely and efficiently.

As always, we appreciate the support from our neighboring departments and our community. Stay safe and be mindful of fire conditions this time of year. πŸ”₯πŸš’
