Friends of the Island Library Friends of the Island Library support the Island Library on Holmes Beach, FL Libraries need friends and we thank you for your support.

The Friends of the Island Library formed in 1965 and opened the first Island Library in a Holmes Beach store front. Dedicated members have continued to fund-raise ever since and have seen the library through many changes, from construction of the Marina Drive building, which opened in 1982, through the grand reopening after a major renovation in 2012. Throughout the years, the Friends have provide

d vital funding for books and materials, programs, furniture and equipment, improvements, maintenance and repairs. Today the Friends are proud to support an array of programs for adults, children and teens, as well as enhance the Island Library holdings and facilities. By becoming a friend you help keep the Island Library resources and services up to date and available for all. Friends of the Island Library Mission Statement:
> To enhance library resources and services for patrons.
> To expand library services beyond what tax dollars alone can provide.
> To sponsor programs and add to the cultural life of area residents and visitors.
> To promote community awareness of our library and its programs. Nonprofit disclaimer:

We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and we thank you for your support. Your membership and gifts will help enhance our library with many items that tax dollars are unable to provide. All contributions are tax deductible.
