Today, October 7, we stand and observe Global War on Terrorism & Desert Storm Veterans Day. 🇺🇸
Why October 7? This date marks the anniversary of the launch of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2001, which initiated the Global War on Terrorism.
Today, we bridge generations of modern warriors by honoring both the heroes of the decades-long GWOT and the brave men and women who decisively defended freedom during Operation Desert Storm in 1991.
To all who deployed to the deserts of the Middle East, the mountains of Afghanistan, and everywhere in between: VFW Post 7908 salutes your valiant service and unwavering sacrifice 🫡
Join the tribute: Tag a Desert Storm or GWOT veteran in the comments below to thank them for their service or drop a 🇺🇸 to show your support!

🚨 Action Alert Reminder: The House may have pulled its planned vote, but the legislation remains active, and the fight is NOT over. We urge every advocate to continue to contact their representatives and senators to tell them to reject Section 108 and find another way to fund veterans’ priorities.
