Hollywood Florida PAL

Hollywood Florida PAL The Police Athletic League is a cooperative effort of the Hollywood Police Department, community volunteers, businesses leaders and citizens.

What is the Police Athletic League? The Police Athletic League is a youth activities program run by Police Officers of the Hollywood Police Department and a volunteer Board of Directors for the purpose of…

Preventing juvenile crime and drug use. To provide positive role models for our youth. To develop discipline, self esteem and positive moral values through wholesome competition. To create better relations through Communication between Law Enforcement Officers and the youth of our community. How can a Youth Join the Police Athletic League? Any child, male or female, between the ages of 6 years and 18 years of age can participate at the Police Athletic League. All that is required is a willingness to participate. Why Do Kids Need the Police Athletic League? Some youth in our community grow up with no positive contact with Police Officers. The lack of positive contact breeds distrust and fear. Negative influences in some parts of the community are having more impact on our youth than the positive influences. PAL provides positive role models for our youth and a drug free, safe place and atmosphere for youth to play and learn. PAL can turn a loser with no self-esteem into a winner with pride. The Police Athletic League Involves the Community:
The Police Athletic League is a cooperative effort of the Hollywood Police Department, community volunteers, businesses leaders and citizens. PAL is funded by public contributions that go directly to the youth at PAL. Money raised at PAL goes to funding first rate programs and to purchase and maintain equipment used by PAL members. Donations enable community youth to participate in Police supervised activities. How can you Help the PAL? PAL is looking for adult volunteers to coach, tutor and assist our PAL staff. You may also assist PAL financially by making a contribution.

🥊 KNOWLEDGE BUILDS CHAMPIONS. 🥊

Yesterday, the Hollywood PAL Boxing Gym had the privilege of hosting Patrick Parsons, boxing coach and official with Fight Fit Wellington, for an incredible educational clinic on the rules and regulations of Olympic-style amateur boxing.

A huge thank you to Patrick for taking the time to travel to our gym, share his expertise, and put together such an informative presentation for our athletes, coaches, and boxing community. 📚🥊

Clinics like this are about more than just learning the rules — they’re about raising the standard of amateur boxing. The more our athletes understand, the better they can compete. The more our coaches understand, the better they can prepare their fighters. And the more knowledge our officials have, the stronger our entire boxing community becomes.

This is exactly the kind of education and collaboration South Florida amateur boxing needs to continue growing, developing, and creating greater opportunities for everyone within our LBC. 💯

Learn. Improve. Compete. Elevate.
The future of South Florida boxing starts with building a stronger foundation today. 🥊🔥

🥊🔥 THROWBACK THURSDAY: CALIFORNIA ‘26! 🌴🌎

Rewinding to late August, when the Hollywood PAL Amateur Boxing Team packed up and headed west for a HUGE first step outside of Florida! ✈️🥊

For the first time, this group of fighters traveled across the country and stepped onto an international stage, sharing the ring with athletes from all over the world. 🌎🔥

This trip was about more than what happened between the ropes. It was about TEAM. EXPERIENCE. MEMORIES. GROWTH. 🖤❤️

The laughs, the adventures, the long days, the nerves, the excitement, and getting to represent Hollywood, Florida together — these are the moments that build a team. 💯

Every round gave our fighters something to take home. Every opponent gave them something to learn. Every challenge gave them another reason to get back in the gym and work harder.

This is how fighters are built. Not overnight. Not in one tournament. But through every experience, every lesson, and every day they choose to keep improving. 🥊⚡

California was just the beginning. The team is still growing, still hungry, and just getting started. 🔥

🎯 NEXT STOP: SEPTEMBER 19TH.
The lessons have been learned. The work continues. Now it’s time to put it all to work. 💥
