Our very own D/E Poole will be participating in this years Brotherhood Ride

We are honored to announce that the Brotherhood Ride mission continues into its 19th year.

This October 17–23, our team will ride across the state of Florida to honor 22 fallen first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice in 2025 while protecting their communities. Over the course of 7 days, we will cycle approximately 600 miles, averaging 70–100 miles each day.

Autism shirts are here!!

All orders have been submitted to the print shop!! Shirts should be completed by late March. Once shirts are received, orders may be picked up at Hollywood Station 31 -OR- ED clinical managers if you’re in the Hospital.

In Loving Memory – Driver Engineer Daryel W. Richards EOW– March 9, 2018

Today, we pause to honor one of our own, Daryel W. Richards, a 22-year veteran of Hollywood Fire Rescue who passed away suddenly while on duty on March 9, 2018.

Daryel was born in Gloversville, NY, and raised in Schenectady before making Florida his home. After completing his medical education, he dedicated his life to teaching medicine, serving as a Paramedic, and ultimately becoming a Firefighter and Driver Engineer with Hollywood Fire Rescue.

Daryel loved this job. Helping people wasn’t just something he did; it was who he was. His passion for service, his steady presence, and his commitment to this community defined his career and the legacy he leaves behind. He was set to retire the same year he passed, but his impact will continue far beyond his years with us.

We remember Daryel not only for his service, but for his heart. His dedication, compassion, and professionalism will forever be part of our department.
