Today we honor the life and legacy of Retired Battalion Chief Mike O’Donnell of Hollywood Fire Rescue.

Chief O’Donnell dedicated 20 years of service to the City of Hollywood, rising through the ranks from firefighter to Battalion Chief of Operations. He passed away on July 14 following a courageous battle with job-related cancer, leaving behind a legacy of leadership, service, and commitment to both his department and the community he proudly served.

Chief O’Donnell has since been laid to rest with full fire department honors, a fitting tribute to a firefighter whose impact will never be forgotten.

Today, we remember Chief Mike O’Donnell and thank him for a lifetime of selfless service. Our thoughts remain with his family, friends, and the entire Hollywood Fire Rescue family

Date: Thursday, July 23, 2026
Time: 11:00 a.m.
Location: The Local Church
         1775 S. Flamingo Road
         Davie, FL 33325

Church doors will open at 10:00 a.m. Those who wish to attend the service are welcome to join us in honoring Chief O’Donnell’s life and service. Guests are encouraged to arrive early and be seated by 10:45 a.m.

Our very own D/E Poole will be participating in this years Brotherhood Ride

We are honored to announce that the Brotherhood Ride mission continues into its 19th year.

This October 17–23, our team will ride across the state of Florida to honor 22 fallen first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice in 2025 while protecting their communities. Over the course of 7 days, we will cycle approximately 600 miles, averaging 70–100 miles each day.
