💙 Giving Back to the Community We Serve 💙

Today, the Hollywood FOP Heroes Foundation proudly joined Hollywood Police Department command staff and officers in making a difference for families right here in our community.

With grocery prices continuing to strain household budgets, we were honored to provide 40 local families with Publix gift cards to help ease some of that financial burden.

A special thank you to the Boys & Girls Club of Hollywood for helping us identify families who could benefit from this initiative, and to Publix for partnering with us by offering the gift cards at a discounted rate—allowing the Heroes Foundation to stretch every dollar and help even more families.

Serving our community is about more than answering calls for service. It's about standing beside our neighbors, building strong partnerships, and lending a helping hand when it's needed most.

This morning, members of the Hollywood Fraternal Order of Police proudly participated in the Ryan Owens Memorial Run, honoring the life, service, and sacrifice of U.S. Navy SEAL Ryan Owens, who gave his life in defense of our nation.

The Hollywood Fraternal Order of Police and the Hollywood Police Officers Association were honored to sponsor and pay for all member registrations, ensuring our members could stand together in remembrance of a true American hero.

This event carries special meaning for our law enforcement family, as Ryan Owens was the brother of Hollywood Police Officer Mike Owens. Officer Owens has dedicated his career to serving and protecting our community, carrying forward the same spirit of courage, honor, and selfless service that defined his brother's life.

Today, our members joined fellow law enforcement officers, military personnel, first responders, veterans, and community supporters in honoring Ryan's legacy and supporting the Owens family. His sacrifice will never be forgotten, and his legacy continues to inspire those who wear the uniform and serve something greater than themselves.

🚨 A Hollywood Police officer was hospitalized overnight after a violent crash involving a marked patrol vehicle on North Ocean Drive.

This was not just a crash — this was reckless criminal behavior that endangered an entire community and nearly cost an officer his life.

The Broward County Fraternal Order of Police stands firmly behind our injured officer, his family, and the entire Hollywood Police Department during this difficult time. We pray for his full and speedy recovery and ask the community to keep him and his loved ones in your thoughts and prayers. 🙏🖤💙

To those responsible: understand this clearly — law enforcement will work tirelessly to identify every individual involved and bring them to justice. Reckless driving, street racing, and fleeing the scene are not games. They destroy lives and put innocent people at risk every single day.

❤️ COMPASSION IN ACTION 🇺🇸👮‍♂️

Over the past several months, an elderly husband traveled to the United States seeking critical medical treatment—fighting for his health, supported every step of the way by his loving wife.

As their journey neared its end, they found themselves facing a new hardship… out of funds, far from home, and with nowhere to turn while waiting for their flight back to their country.

That’s when our community stepped in.

Through the Heroes Foundation—the nonprofit arm of the Hollywood Fraternal Order of Police—alongside our incredible partners at Memorial Regional Hospital, we were able to ensure this couple had a safe place to stay, dignity in their time of need, and the support they deserved until they return home.

This is what partnership looks like.

This is what happens when the Hollywood Police Department, the Hollywood FOP, and our healthcare partners come together—not just to serve, but to care.
