What an incredible evening at Hollywood Toastmasters!

The night began with an outstanding educational presentation from our President David Dimino on Pathways, providing valuable insights into the Toastmasters educational program and helping members continue their growth journey.

We also had the pleasure of welcoming our guest Adriana, who delivered a speech in Portuguese as part of her preparation for a major upcoming speaking engagement. Soon, she will be addressing an audience of nearly 1,000 people, and Hollywood Toastmasters was honored to provide a stage where she could practice and refine her presentation.

Then came one of the most exciting election nights in recent club history!

While many clubs struggle to find candidates willing to serve, Hollywood Toastmasters had not one, not two, but three members willing to step forward and lead. That alone speaks volumes about the health, energy, and future of our club.

The election for President was so competitive and engaging that the first ballot ended in a tie. A runoff was held... and the result was another tie!

The excitement in the room was incredible.

Because it was getting late, the membership voted to adjourn the meeting and continue the election process next Monday.

One thing became very clear last night: Hollywood Toastmasters is growing, thriving, and filled with members who care deeply about the future of the club.

We are building something special.

What a night at Hollywood Toastmasters!

We were honored to welcome more than 50 attendees for an evening filled with inspiration, learning, networking, and fellowship.

Our heartfelt thanks go to our outstanding keynote speaker, Steven Harwood, whose engaging presentation helped make the evening truly memorable. We also extend our gratitude to all our guests, members, and volunteers who contributed their time, energy, and enthusiasm to make this event a success.

The evening showcased not only the power of communication and leadership, but also the ability to engage, entertain, and inspire an audience. The event highlighted the many dimensions of public speaking: the ability to inform, inspire, lead, and entertain.

From the engaging presentations to the meaningful conversations and delicious refreshments that followed, every aspect of the event reflected what can happen when dedicated people come together with a common purpose.

We are proud of what we accomplished together and grateful to everyone who joined us.

We are excited to welcome Steven Harwood as our keynote speaker. Steven is an accomplished communicator, leader, and longtime Toastmaster whose presentations are always engaging, insightful, and thought-provoking.

Yes, attendance was lower than usual yesterday because of the holiday, but we still had an energetic and enthusiastic meeting with two speeches, evaluations, and Table Topics for everyone.

We even had a very young guest in attendance who already showed signs of being a natural-born speaker and definitely a future Toastmaster!

That’s the beauty of our club: no matter the numbers, the energy, support, and opportunity to grow are always there.

Another fantastic meeting at Hollywood Toastmasters! The room was filled with energy, enthusiasm, and great communication.

We enjoyed thoughtful Table Topics responses, two inspirational prepared speeches, and two educational evaluations that gave everyone valuable feedback and motivation to grow.

A special welcome to Maria and Evan, our newest fellow Toastmasters. We are excited to have you as part of our club family!

And yes…we are meeting on Memorial Day too. At Hollywood Toastmasters, we believe communication skills should always stay in shape, holidays included.

For almost 20 years, Hollywood Toastmasters has helped people build confidence, communication, and leadership skills in a friendly and supportive environment.

One of the unique features of our club is our beautiful venue with a real stage — a rare opportunity among Toastmasters clubs. Members may practice on stage or off stage, with or without a microphone, depending on the skills they wish to develop.

Beyond our meetings, members benefit from mentoring, coaching, constructive feedback, and guidance from experienced speakers and leaders.
