My Hollywood Pride

Let’s Keep it 💯
My Hollywood Pride will once again say “Welcome Home” to the only place that can boast that “Pride Starts Here” for the 2025 edition!

My Hollywood Pride was born from the advocacy work of the Hollywood LGBTQ+ Council, a community-led organization founded in 2019 to unite LGBTQ+ residents, advocate for equity, and foster inclusion across all aspects of life in the City of Hollywood. We’re thrilled to announce that the 4th Annual My Hollywood Pride Street Festival is back and better than ever with our theme for this year: “Keep it 💯.” Mark your calendars for Sunday, January 26, 2025, from 1:00 to 6:00 PM, as we kick off a spectacular celebration that not only honors our LGBTQ+ community but also marks the City of Hollywood’s 100th Anniversary!

Hollywood, this September is all about connection. 🌈

Two ways to get involved with the Hollywood LGBTQ+ community this month:

📍 Community Town Hall — Saturday, September 19
Help shape the Council’s 2027 priorities. This is YOUR chance to tell us what matters most to our community and where we should focus next year.

🥂 Circle of Pride — September 23 at Taverna Opa
Mix, mingle, and connect with local businesses that support Hollywood’s LGBTQ+ community. Because supporting each other is how community gets built.

Pride starts here, in Hollywood.

What would you want the Council to focus on in 2027? Drop your answer below and RSVP to both events using the link in bio.

World Photography Day is a moment to celebrate how visual storytelling captures history, culture, and progress. Photographs serve as a powerful medium to document social movements, preserve shared memories, and bring vital visibility to diverse communities.

Over the years, documentary photography at Hollywood Pride events has captured the vibrant spirit, unity, and strength of the LGBTQ+ community. These historic images document the ongoing journey toward equality, acceptance, and social change.

Behind every Pride photo is a story of personal courage, love, and community resilience. Photographs capture more than colorful parades and celebrations; they archive pivotal moments in the movement for LGBTQ+ rights and inclusivity.

By sharing these images, we honor the visionary photographers (JR Davis, Stephen R. Lang, DaleStinePhotography, IVO KUDINI Photography )who use creative visual arts to advocate for equality, elevate LGBTQ+ representation, and inspire future generations.

Which photograph from a Pride celebration or historic moment has left the biggest impression on you?

Pride is not just a celebration—it's a protest for our right to exist safely.

Our hearts are with the community in Germany after the Berlin Pride tragedy. No one should fear for living their truth.

From Hollywood, FL to Berlin, violence against LGBTQ+ people is a heartbreaking reality. We stand in solidarity, demanding a world where we live without fear.

Pride matters every day. 🤍🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
