The Holly Grove Middle School PTSA exists to enhance the educational experience of HGMS students by providing such programs as PTSA-sponsored dances, an annual talent show and spelling bee, Scholastic book fair, the NCPTA Reflections program, Honor Roll recognition, cultural arts programs, an anti-bullying program, hospitality luncheons for teachers and staff, a 40-book reading challenge, and much

Thank You for ALL of the cookie contributions this year!! Baked and bought, money donated so we could buy more…we appreciate how our HGMS community shows appreciation!! SO ma y cookies and we filled 3 tables! The staff can now build a plate or a box to enjoy and/or share with family over the holidays.

Cookies - both store bought AND homemade!! What kind would you like to bring to share for our "Cookie Exchange"?

We'd like to have an assortment of cookies of all kinds so our incredible staff can put together a plate to take home so they can enjoy and share with their families.

Looking for ways to support our HGMS Bulldogs in the meantime? Consider baking or buying cookies for our Cookie Event on December 15 - OR - consider writing a nice card or note of thanks, or even gifting something to your child's teachers, bus drivers, support staff, etc. this holiday season. Kind words of recognition go a long way!

We recently shared that our PTSA was able to help our Holly Grove Middle School out with Fun Fridays - with lots of new balls and equipment for being outdoors, and the start of some games for when weather means our Bulldog students are stuck indoors...

Well - we're back with MORE GOOD NEWS to share!! Because our November Spirit Night at Mamma Mia's in Holly Springs went so well (and because Mamma Mia's was also so very generous!) our PTSA was able to get another round of board games!!

We were able to get enough games so that 6-7 😉 more games can go to each grade level. THANK YOU for supporting our spirit nights and a Thank You to Mamma Mia's and their generosity!

Our HGMS PTSA is beyond thankful for the generosity and support of our community - we had pies donated and dropped off on Monday - so that all of our HGMS staff members can take one home for the holiday.

THANK YOU for all of the ways you (our community) have shown up for our Bulldogs from the start of the year to now - it's always a good day to be a Bulldog, and we are grateful for you! Happy Thanksgiving, HGMS!

Have your Bulldogs told you about Fun Fridays at Holly Grove? It's a pseudo-recess for our middles - an opportunity to have some social time with classmates and peers.

If students are behind from missing days or need extra time to get caught up or retake tests, etc. - that's also what this time can be about, having one-on-one opportunities to make sure learning is locked in... So Fun Friday also is a sort of motivation to stay on track and get things done.

We have heard that our grade levels and track teams were in need of some refreshed equipment, more for kids to enjoy, both on days when they are inside AND outside - and our ECS classrooms had some requests for their needs as well!

THIS is where our PTSA comes in and ALL of the support we received during the fundraiser. Using funds from our budget, we were able to purchase more items and brand new items for ALL of our HGMS students to enjoy during their Fun Fridays. We sent out a survey to see what works best for our teachers and students, and this is just a start! All kinds of balls, both for outside AND inside "Silent Ball" - and games that are "easy to set up and easy to clean up" were highly asked for.

MORE UNO FOR EVERYONE!!!
And playdough and bubbles (and not pictured, sidewalk chalk) for our ECS classrooms.

The HGMS PTSA has two holiday events coming up and we are asking for parent participation.

Our first event is gathering a collection of ALL kinds of pies (fresh, store bought only please, no frozen) on Monday, November 24th - that way, on Tuesday, before the holiday break, each staff member can take a pie home to share with their families.

Our second event, in December we are having a "cookie exchange" for our staff members and we need your help buying cookies or making homemade treats.

We know the holidays can be busy for everyone. If you'd like to donate money, we would be happy to shop for pies or cookies for you! Please venmo -Williams-427 and specify PIES or COOKIES in the description.
