The Legacy- Mark Ratliff

Mark Raphael Ratliff was born May 31, 1964 in Cumberland County, North Carolina to the late Earnest Ratliff and Sarah Kearney Ratliff. He passed away peacefully in his sleep, during the early morning hours of Friday, February 2, 2018 at his home in Apex, NC.

A born leader, Mark entered into the United States Army at 18, where he confirmed his lifelong passion; to Protect and Serve. Following his honorable discharge from the military, he went on to serve dutifully as an officer of the law in various capacities including;

Correctional Officer, Drug Agent, Undercover Detective, Lieutenant, and Interim Chief. Mark continued taking on the challenges of Law Enforcement, until his early retirement from the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, State Highway Patrol.
